Another game in Los Angeles, another loss. But there is light at the end of the tunnel, someone who hasn't beaten the Seattle Sounders is coming to town.
Rejoice!
It's beginning to look very familiar this lack of offensive production and none of us here at the Pow Wow think it's a very good look for our Sounders.
Please, sir, may we have some goals?
Once again with the offense generating a big load of nothing and the defense being unable to stand tough for 90 minutes (for those of you keeping track at home, that's three straight games now).
The Pow Wow strays well away from soccer talk for a while then the ranting starts and goes on and on and on.
Find out if Jonathon ever shuts up, this week on Sounders Pow Wow.
Sure, it feels late in the season. Probably because the Seattle Sounders offense is MIA. We wanted to believe that our deep bench would be able to handle the rough summer months with the Gold Cup and all, but it is looking like that was a bill of goods sold to us by someone who was radically pulling our collective leg.
Troy is also MIA this week, so it's a short show with just the husband and wife talking a bit of smack.
It looks like we made it!
Actually, we're more impressed we were able to get a show out this week, what with the USA all winning the World Cup and all.
There are several things to cover, not the least of which include our complete lack of knowledge of the Chicago Fire. But you certainly don't listen to this for the deep analytical insight.
Another stuttering week due to the Women's World Cup (no apologies here) and plenty of hung heads at the abyssmal performances by the Seattle Sounders FC since the last show.
But isn't that what you listen to the show for?
We certainly hope so.
Yes, we know we took a couple weeks off, but Las Vegas needed Jonathon's money (just ask it).
Going over the KC match, something about Dallas coming to town, the upcoming U.S. Open Cup against the Timbers, the Women's World Cup and touch on the upcoming match versus the Earthquakes.
And speak of things better left unspoken. Perhaps Katy will join us next week so we don't lose our way so easily.
Oh what a snoozer we endured against the Sporks (and after that match against Vancouver...can you spell L-E-T-D-O-W-N?).
To wrap up the week both the Rapids and the Red Bulls are visiting The T and Jonathon puts forth a most terrifying proposition.
After an amazingly complete performance against the Whitecaps, the boys in Rave Green return to The T for a quick three game home stand.
First up the not quite predictable Kansas Citians and the team which may or may not be scary.
And what about Oba's return? Let's discuss.
Getting this one out a touch later than even the late shows tend to be and I'd love to say that it's worth the wait, but we all know better, now don't we?
What was the reason behind our defensive issues in Columbus and what needs to change to get a result in British Columbia? We don't really know, but we certainly have opinions.
