The USOC Final has the boys nervous, where are the Sounders spending the rest of the week, how messed up is Toronto and what about New York?
All this and Fantasy League, today, on SPW.
Through the discussion of footgolf and knick knacks, we cover both last week's match against Chivas USA and the upcoming Friday night fixture at home against Real Salt Lake. And don't fear, there is plenty of complaining on deck.
Sure there was talk of the Seattle Sounders, but we spent most of the show discussing the craptastic events transpiring around the league, including the nightmare at Chivas USA as well as the falling on the face of Toronto.
Join us, won't you?
Returning to the top of the West with a win (the third of the year) over the Timbers so the mood in the Den of Inequity is much lighter than last week.
Please forgive Katy for her silly words at the beginning of the show, we had to leave them in because it was terribly amusing to us, but if you are uber PC and such, best to start the show a couple minutes in.
And Negative Nancy makes an extended appearance on the show tonight. So much so, in fact, she is banned from from a segment.
Can the Seattle Sounders return to the top of the Major League Soccer heap with two matches this week? The Pow Wow has quite a bit to say on the subject and not all of it is what you would expect.
With an Open Cup game on deck this evening, the Seattle Sounders face an uphill task heading into Sandy, Utah to face Real Salt Lake this Saturday.
Katy wasn't available to help curb the idiocy in this one, so there is plenty of singing, explitives and irrelevant stories. Plus a rant which will undoubtedly see a member of the USWNT beating the smack out of Troy.
All this and a whine about the Fantasy League.
It could be the beginning of something very ugly for the Seattle Sounders or it could be we need to find some help in the centerback position.
But what do you say to the women who are expected to be in Canada next summer for the World Cup? What was that Troy?
Welcome back to us. The Sounders didn't take the week off but we did and in a fit of idiocy (the common state for us, as you know) to ignore the upcoming San Jose game.
But we still talk a good game. Or decent game.
Two glorious Cascadia wins and no one got hurt? It's a great week to be a Sounders fan. You're welcome Major League Soccer.
The Pow Wow speaks unkindly of friendlies (again) and praises Katy's surge to the top of the Fantasy League. You go, girl!
After a less than impressive showing with our Cascadia rivals to the north, the Sounders stay at home and face the Portland Timbers not once but twice this upcoming week. Once in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup and once in Major League Soccer play.
Awesome.
Almost as awesome as Troy and Jonathon's trip to Vancouver last weekend with the Emerald City Supporters.
