Still at the top of the heap after a trip to the nation's capitol, so all is right in Major League Soccer (at least as far as the Sounders are concerned).
And next weekend the boys in Rave Green head north (again) to Cascadia Cup battle the Vancouver Whitecaps (again).
You thought there was someone who wasn't a moron scheduling these matches...oh, how wrong you are.
Way to go USA, all making it out of the "Group of Death!" And yes, I do believe there should be ample, "Suck it, Trebek" to the rest of the world.
A game in the nation's capital takes a backseat to several rants by the Pow Wow crew; Hope Solo and scheduling take center stage this show. Troy's sincerest apologies.
Well there was that game in Chicago wasn't there?
And there's going to be a match against some lower division club no one has ever heard of in the near future.
That's something isn't it?
What was in the water in Seattle this weekend? Four goals against Real Salt Lake? Totally awesome!
And now it's off to the Windy City to battle the Fire.
If only Troy were here to bask in the glow of taking the full three points from the Lakers.
Oh what a mess the Seattle Sounders find themselves in. First place in the Western Conference, first place overall in Major League Soccer and a defense that has given up almost as many goals as the last place team in the league.
It can't keep going this way, certainly not against the only undefeated team in the league.
Katy couldn't make it home for lunch today so the boys get a show all to themselves and if it is possible to actually hear someone's head about to explode, that would be this show.
Thankfully the voice of reason (somehow, that's Troy) salvages the program.
National news and Major League Soccer signs a new TV deal.
Having good luck is certainly a good thing. It's only when the good luck runs out that fans start calling for coach's heads, right?
Two more games this week, at home facing Dallas (again) and heading back east to honor mom by taking on the Revolution (can't imagine a present my mother wants more).
Couldn't have a show less than an hour long now could we?
Plenty of bragging about the Colorado beat down and some optimism moving forward.
Taking on the game that was against Chivas USA and admonishing Major League Soccer for the referees (again).
Looking ahead at both Jonathon's birthday present from Troy and the return of the boys in Rave Green to Seattle after three glorious weeks away.
All this and smoothies...
