Pierce and Caroline are back this week to talk about the UVA men's basketball team and their recent wins over Georgia Tech and Pittsburgh. With critical matchups against UNC (Saturday) and FSU (Monday) coming up, the duo recap what we saw UVA do well and what two of the more talented ACC squads will try to do to rattle the first-place Wahoos. Hopefully more people decide to chant "airball!" at Kihei, because we all saw how that went for the fans in Atlanta.

Unfortunately, the schedule has only allowed for matchups against the bottom tier of the conference, but there's still plenty to take away from these four games that bodes well for the Hoos for the rest of the conference schedule. However, with the canceled non-conference games, it's becoming more and more apparent that UVA will need to do very very well in ACC play to collect the ever-needed "marquee wins" for NCAA Tournament placement. Clemson on Saturday certainly presents an opportunity for such. Caroline is back on this week's episode of the pod with Pierce - and they're joined by Daily Progress reporter Bennett Conlin! Bennett and the team talk at great length about the UVA football team's Commonwealth Cup rivalry game Saturday night and the strengths and weaknesses we've seen this season from both programs. The game is a huge opportunity for the Hoos who are on a late season winning streak - but the Hokies are favored by a couple of points in Blacksburg.

They also dig into the basketball season's early ups and downs, the insane task of balancing this year's roster, and some strategy they would like to see employed with such. Unfortunately tonight's Michigan State match up has been postponed, but hopefully the Hoos return to action soon (this weekend's game against William and Mary is up in the air currently).
