Gavin has Grand Rapids Griffin Cross Hanas on. Cross grew up in Highland Village in Dallas, he talks about how he got into hockey and how his dad grew up in Canada and had a big influence on him to be a hockey fan. Cross talks about his favorite player to watch growing up and the connections he made in Dallas with local players. Cross got injured last year and talks about how that journey was for him. Some of his teammates were called up as the Red Wings have some injuries, he talks about how much he misses home and told them to send him pictures when they were in Dallas.
Gavin and David recap the Stars win over the Red Wings. Gavin makes note that Detroit was missing some players and the Stars took advantage of that as they lit up James Reimer. Gavin and David talk about Oettinger not getting consistency because they are giving him time off and starting Wedgewood for load management reasons. The guys also discuss possible trade candidates for the Stars to improve the team. Gavin wants to see more shots coming from in front of the net from the Stars moving forward as they started to get some of those as the game moved along against Detroit.
