There may be 574 cricketers in the final list for the Indian Premier League's 2025 Player Auction but we are going to focus on 49 of them who belong to the Maharashtrian soil. 46 cricketers from the three domestic teams in Maharashtra will be joined by three Maharashtrian cricketers who are playing for other teams. While you can guess the 'favourites' from these 49 who will go under the hammer in Jeddah on November 24 and 25, we take a look at the undergods from the region.

Ever since he emerged as the fastest pacer in the 2022 U-19 World Cup, Rajvardhan Hangargekar has been labelled as Osmanabad Express. Born in Tuljapur and raised in Osmanabad (now Dharashiv), Hangargekar moved to Pune in quest of making it big on a cricket field.

Having gained experience playing alongside the likes of legendary Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Ruturaj Gaikwad in the last three years for Chennai Super Kings, Hangargekar is one of the uncapped youngsters to watch out for the Indian Premier League’s Player Auction.

Having placed a strong emphasis on fitness, Hangargekar aims to win more trophies for Maharashtra. In Kattyavarchya Gappa, Hangargekar shares his experiences with Sports Katta’s Aditya Joshi
