Tight end Michael Mayer and pass rusher Isiah Foskey are the latest to joining Notre Dame’s long list of consensus All Americans. After announcement of all five NCAA-recognized All American teams, Mayer and Foskey become the 107th and 108th consensus All Americans in the program’s history. Mayer and Foskey have opted out of Notre Dame’s Gator Bowl game against South Carolina to prepare for the spring NFL draft.

Irish basketball returns this weekend after a week off for final exams. The 5th ranked Notre Dame women have a tough road challenge Sunday at number 6 Virginia Tech, with Sean Stires calling the game starting at 3:45 on Live 99-9. Then, at 5:30, Mike Brey’s Irish men take on the Georgia Bulldogs on a supposedly neutral floor in Atlanta. That game is here on Sports Radio 960 WSBT.

Thursday night NFL: the San Francisco 49ers clinched the NFC West title with a win at Seattle. The ‘niners went up 14-to-3 en route to a 21-13 win and a 10-and-4 record. Seattle falls to 7-and-7.

The weekend NFL schedule starts with a Saturday Triple Header: the Indianapolis Colts leading off at 1:00pm against the Vikings in Minnesota on 96-1 the Ton. We’ll have the second and third games: Baltimore at Cleveland, and Miami at Buffalo here on 960 WSBT.
