Using awareness in our families means paying attention to influencers that interact within our family’s world. As social media platforms have grown so much that data is now, many teens spend more than three hours online daily. The symptom which sparked the concern, I believe, is the increased risk of youth depression and anxiety. Resources indicate that teens and adults find acceptance in social groups that support the teen or adult social identity.
