Still Buffering

This show blew up and broke the internet for a couple of weeks, so of course we had to revisit the world's favorite ooky and spooky family and take a week to talk all about Wednesday!

To round out the year of 2022 and the holiday season, it's time for that classic holiday (?) film featuring all the holiday (?) goo you could ask for, it's Gremlins!

It's time to dive into another holiday classic that somehow we have never talked about before: Home Alone! Also, since the holidays are the time of year to share your most controversial opinions with family, we all decided that meant it was time to share our controversial Home Alone opinions with each other, obviously.

It's the most wonderful time of the year once again: the one where our screens and streaming services are jam-packed with holiday movies full of the cliches we know and love so well. Without a Vanessa Hudgens holiday movie with several versions of Vanessa Hudgens to watch this season, our siblings had to turn to the next best option on Netflix: one with Lindsay Lohan and that guy from Glee!

How did Sydnee and Rileigh not know that their middle sibling was friends with a super cool and famous band and hosted shows for them in their living room back in the day?? They don't know how they missed this band, but they sure are glad to be talking about them now just in time for their most recent album!

Apparently Rileigh was only aware of silly goofy movie dad Adam Sandler, while our older Smirl siblings were fully aware of young, romantic lead, SNL Adam Sandler, so of course they had to expose Rileigh to him walking down an airplane aisle singing because...who wouldn't want that???

Once again, it's that magical time of year where our littlest sibling gets to force her big sibs to listen to an entire Taylor Swift album and then listen to her talk about it for 45 minutes. And of course that means we have to talk about that TOUR.

Rounding out our month of spook is a horror cult classic brought to us by our resident spooky movie sibling expert: Teylor! Tey's sisters had never heard of this one before, so it was up to them to introduce them to this Frankenstein-ish world of early 2000s good for her body horror.

It's still spooky season, so we're still deep in the spooky movie genre! This week, we're sticking with Sarah Michelle Gellar and looking back at that classic teen slasher complete with hooks and haircuts and Janny Jaleckies!

While not technically a spooky movie, Do Revenge is Rileigh's newest obsession, and it's the classic teen girl, rom-com, mashup of the century. Also, teenagers are scary enough, so I think that counts as a spooky season movie.
