Still Buffering

This week we're keeping up with the youths and listening to the newest release from Noah Kahan. Is part of growing into adulthood exorcising the ghosts of the past? And if you don't, will they steal your glasses?

For a relaxing time, make it Still Buffering time. This week on the show, we're looking back on Lost in Translation. Is it a beautiful meditation on loneliness, and a vivid love letter to Japan? Yes. But does it hold up under the modern microscope? Let's discuss.

Week 2 of the maxfundrive, and we're delving into the ai fears of the future via the new film Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die. You know what ai couldn't make? This specific podcast. And we definitely consume less water, like we're always dehydrated, we're a net positive water producer by how rarely we remember to drink water. (We is probably just Teylor, but he more than does his part)

It's Maxfundrive, that time of year we thank all of our lovely listeners and supporters, and also offer you gifts. Give me 12 CC's of Troll Keychains, stat! Because we're also talking about the Pitt..that wasn't a great transition, I don't think that's a legal measurement for troll dolls or keychains. Anyway, if you've supported us this long, you know being kinda bad at transitions is one of our things. Thanks for being here all the same.

It's MaxFunDrive. And here, for the first time, we give you an exclusive look (well, listen) at the craft of podcasting: presenting Casters on Casters.

In this episode, Teylor Smirl (Still Buffering) and Ellen Weatherford (Just the Zoo of Us) bond over the media they consumed that shaped who they are today, and how that media informs their perspectives on their shows. Plus, each host reveals their dream guest.

If this glamorous, in-depth journey into what makes your favorite hosts tick inspires you, support them by joining as a member at maximumfun.org/join.

Live from roughly a week ago, it's Still Buffering! We don't have a UK version. Or maybe we do? We'd probably be funnier with British accents. SNL certainly is. And Edgy. With bad words. We'd be so much better with cool accents and bad words.

Abraham Lincoln liked cats, and that's cool. Scrubs has new episodes and that's cool too. Using popular media to reinforce acceptance of a broken medical system is probably less cool? Probably. Let's discuss.

This week we're getting freaky, then freakier, then friday, then friday..er? Anyway join us as we discuss the well deserved Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis renaissance, a couple of silly movies, and how while things change, most stays the same. But not our intro and outro, we can't seem to remember that so it's changing every week. Sorry about that.
