This is the story of Odam vs Ave: Origins—a sweeping, mythic science-fantasy horror (yes still horror) built on forgotten lore, biomechanical gods, and the quiet breath of war sleeping beneath our feet.....and organic battle suits!!

Eons ago, two seeds were cast across the universe—Odam, reshapers of worlds, and Ave, guardians of growth and survival. They were never meant to land on the same planet…

And that mistake?

I won't give any more away, I want you to experience the tale, going in blind. But I will say this....Vocalised Resonance - and that the AVE are Waiting. Listening.

🎙️ What Makes This Story Different?

Unlike my usual self-contained ghost stories or horror shorts, Odam vs Ave is going to be a serialized, long-form epic—told in rich detail, with cinematic pacing and deep emotional arcs. It blends body horror, mystery, ancient science-fiction, and a sharp focus on willpower, betrayal, and legacy as core themes.

It’s about Leo Cauldon, a young student scholar who stumbles across something he shouldn't. A whispering artefact - not in the traditional sense, you'll hear what I mean. And a creature walking the earth that cannot be stopped—only survived.

This isn’t just horror.

Absolutely yes! The beginning chapters are there just to ease you in - like ALL my stories. They start of pretty lean, and as the chapters build up, they will have a lot more focus - leaning to horror - particularly body horror - so I cannot wait.

Dr. Fables is every bit the classic vampire of gothic legend—only grumpier. Cursed centuries ago, he has since perfected the art of looking brooding, mysterious, and vaguely annoyed at all times. Bald, strikingly handsome, and always clad in a flawless black coat, he exudes an aura of both refinement and menace—until Jeffrey ruins the moment.

His piercing dark eyes are a weapon of their own, capable of hypnotizing victims or delivering soul-crushing glares at his incompetent assistant. His movements are fluid, elegant, almost inhuman, and despite his frustration with Jeffrey, he will protect him at all costs—though he will never admit it out loud.

Dr. Fables is a master manipulator, a predator in the dark, but also a man weighed down by a curse that has turned his existence into a never-ending night. He is a gentleman monster—until you cross him.

Jeffrey Stories is the kind of man who enters a room like a chaotic whirlwind and leaves it in shambles. Pudgy, dishevelled, and always slightly out of breath, Jeffrey is an accidental menace with a heart of gold (and a stomach full of snacks). His loyalty to Dr. Fables is unwavering—though his execution of tasks often leads to near-death experiences (for both of them).

With wild eyes, unkempt dark brown hair streaked with gray, and a perpetually sweaty brow, Jeffrey’s appearance alone screams "This man should not be left unsupervised." He means well, but his bumbling nature, questionable decision-making, and tendency to talk at the worst possible moments make him the world’s least effective vampire hunter… and somehow, the world’s most endearing one.

Jeffrey's wardrobe is as chaotic as he is—ill-fitting coats, mismatched shoes, and a belt that he swears was expensive (it was not). He clutches a wooden stake like it’s his Excalibur, though he has yet to actually use it properly.

This time, we’re heading deep into a world that’s long since forgotten what water even tasted like. Civilization? Gone. Manners? Long dead. And hope? Eh, it’s probably buried under a pile of teeth somewhere...😬

Strap in, grab your favourite rusted blade, and keep your eyes on the horizon. The wasteland’s calling... and it's thirsty.

Wretch is the leader in name and grin alone. Tall, sinewy, and pale as parchment, he moves like someone who’s already been halfway consumed and decided to keep walking anyway. His tattoos slither beneath his translucent skin like black veins with their own agenda, pulsing each time he speaks. Wretch doesn’t yell or snarl—he smiles, wide enough to split his face, delivering promises of slow, inventive endings like a man offering tea. For Wretch, it’s not the kill that matters—it’s the ritual.

Mire is a swollen sack of sweat, grease, and gurgled laughter. Everything about him glistens where it shouldn’t. His tattoos fester as bubbling boils along his arms, popping and leaking oily black ichor that he smears on blades and bodies alike. Mire believes life is just a buffet of fresh cuts, and he’s always first in line. He whispers about “how sweet you’ll taste” in a voice like wet fabric being wrung out, licking his lips between words like the world’s already marinating.

Gnarl lost his lower jaw years ago and never bothered finding a replacement that made him any easier to understand. Instead, he wears a welded scrap muzzle strapped tight to his face, his neck bulging with blackened tattoos that have dug in like thorns. Gnarl doesn’t talk—he growls, croaks, and gestures with a violent enthusiasm that leaves little room for interpretation. When the others laugh, Gnarl cracks his knuckles. When they charge, Gnarl’s already halfway through someone’s ribcage.

Slick hums. Always humming. Soft, tuneless, and constant. She stitched her own eyes shut ages ago, trading sight for the wriggling, pulsing tattoos that spread like worms across the sockets. Slick’s blades are her voice now—two hooked knives that carve through the dark as if they know the way better than she does. She moves with the grace of someone who no longer cares where the ground is. You hear Slick before you see her, and by then, it's usually too late.

Rot is skin draped loosely over bad intentions. He looks like something you’d find curled up in a tomb, half-preserved and trying to remember how to stand. His tattoos are dry and cracked, flaking like dead bark peeling off rotted wood. Rot has a habit of keeping trophies—fingers, teeth, small, easy-to-carry reminders of people who should’ve run faster. He doesn’t talk much, but when he does, it's just to catalog which part of you he plans to keep.

Crick is wrong. His back bends the wrong way. His smile never quite lines up with his eyes. His tattoos spiral across his stomach like a drain pulling everything inward, and sometimes the skin there moves like there’s something inside trying to claw out. Crick giggles through sentences like he’s heard a joke no one else understands, repeating words until they lose meaning. He’s the one who watches you sleep. He’s the one who whispers, “Closer,” and means it.
