    Episode 95 with Michael Montgomery

The son of a women's basketball hall of famer is a proud native of Carthage, TX  and a proud Center Roughrider (East Texas) and an Aggie for life.

Michael Montgomery’s story and the focus of this episode is how he pivoted and what he's accomplished post football career. His ability to close the door on a big portion of his life and create the life he wanted without football.

Montgomery, was a defensive tackle at Navarro College in Corsicana, Texas then transferred to Texas A&M and was selected by the Green Bay Packers in the 6th round of the 2005 National Football League Draft.

Montgomery played five seasons for the Packers and retired from professional football in 2012.

After retirement from football, Montgomery opened his mind to multiple oppotunities such as acting in California and entrepreneurship.

He currently owns and runs a trucking company and recently launched his own podcast, The Undefeated (which can be found on YouTube and on all podcast listening platforms).

Episode 94 with Quincy Lavon Carter

This is an episode we hope reaches at least one person who is dealing addiction and inspires them.

Quincy has battled an addiction and is winning that battle with a complete overhaul of his mindset, his faith, and his daily approach to life in general. Not to mention his commitment to AA.

The former Dallas Cowboys quarterback's 1st love was baseball. Carter, who grew up near Atlanta, GA, was selected in baseball's June Amateur Draft out of high school.

But, Carter opted to play college football at the University of Georgia, where he was a star qb. He was selected in the 2nd round of the NFL Draft after his junior season as a Bulldog.

A career which was short lived due to ego and that prior life which was dictated by an addiction.

He is a proud Bulldog to this day and is optimistic about UGA's chances this season especially since they are the new #1 team in the country after Alabama fell to Texas A&M.

Carter currently trains up and coming youth & high school quarterbacks.

Carter and Clynch discuss the Longhorns and Quincy delivered his take on Texas after that tough loss to OU.

  • Red River Rivalry, the Day After & The Aggies Upset Alabama

    Send us Fan Mail

Red River Rivalry, the day after episode..

How are you feeling about the rest of the season Longhorn Nation?

Casey Thomspon was SOLID at quarterback.

Bijon Robinson was Bijon but OU's defense began to contain him in the final 1.5 quarters.

I'd say, there should be optimism but with patience.

This team fought and started well early vs Oklahoma. Literally attacked and were aggressive.

The problem is producing two aggressive and relentless halves.

Both the offensive and defensive line are works in progress currently.

And, tackling is an issue. Too many missed tackles.

Oklahoma found their quarterback after Texas forced Spencer Rattler to the bench for the 2nd straight season.

Caleb Williams will more than likely become OU's starter. I wouldn't surprised if Rattler enters the transfer portal in the off season.

Texas head coach, Steve Sarkisian said this team's metal will be tested as the team's preseason goals of winning a Big 12 title remain on the table.

Texas hosts 11th ranked Oklahoma State on Saturday at 11 AM.

Meanwhile, in College Station the Aggie flipped the direction of their season by upsetting #1 Alabama on Jimbo Fisher's birthday.

Red River Rivalry special episode #4 with Toby Rowland.

The voice of the Oklahoma Sooners has a special story. He grew up following those greats who articulated and painted the picture of the legendary moments of Oklahoma Sooner sports before him.

A "dream job" Rowland received in 2011 after the passing of the broadcasting legend, Bob Barry, Sr.

Rowland was an award winning reporter and anchor at the CBS affiliate in Oklahoma City prior.

His coined phrase  "unhitch the wagon" is golden and he refers to OU's football stadium as "the palace on the prairie".

Rowland is also a fan of the the great, Craig Way, the voice of the Texas Longhorns.

Calling games at the Cotton Bowl for the Red River Rivalry for Rowland is deeper than the just the plays. He described the environment in a way only Rowland can.

Red River Rivalry special episode #2 with Kwame Cavil

The former Longhorn receiving great set a school record for 100 receptions in one season in 1999.

Cavil helped lead Texas to 3-wins against Oklahoma.

The retired football coach who is pursuing his Master's degree discussed the entire Red River Rivalry experience as a player.

In 1999, Cavil stepped up in the lockerroom at halftime in 1999, Bob Stoops' 1st season at OU, and said, "Let's Go Right There Now!". Texas rallied back to win 38-28.
