  • 49: Philosofi - Man's Search For Meaning

I was reading Man's Search For Meaning by Viktor Frankl earlier and I read a series of passages that I needed to share with you guys. So amazing. Frankl was a survivor of the holocaust and in these passages he describes what it was like finally being liberated after years in a concentration camp. It's not exactly as you might imagine it, I found it so interesting that it inspired me to make an episode about it.

  • 48: Give a Fuck - Book Review

In this episode I attempt to give a book review of The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck which devolves into kind of a rant against Eastern Philosophy. Not that I think it's bad, but it's just not for me. And this book draws on a lot of Eastern philosophical ideas as well as Stoicism. Basically what I took away is that Not Giving a Fuck might not be the best thing for me, I don't know about you. 3 stars

  • 47: Husky Bucktooth (Losing Weight)

This episode is pretty different from any I've done before. In the past 5 months or so I've lost more weight than I ever have before. I talk about the process which has led to that, going all the way back to when I was a youngster around age 13 when I first became chubby. I also had really messed up teeth, thus: Husky Bucktooth. This is really a whole journey from when I was young until now the role that my weight has played. Then at around 44:00 minutes I talk about the strategies that I've been using that have been working and hopefully you might find some of that advice useful!

  • 46: In The Zone

This episode is titled 'In The Zone' but it should probably be titled 'Straight Fire' that might be more accurate. I discuss the state of being in the zone and a strategy I've been thinking about to increase the likelihood of getting in the zone. Then I also briefly discuss Productive Procrastination which is a practice I'm trying to master and that I think is really useful.

  • 45: Saturday Night Thoughts

In this episode, number 51, I discuss some thoughts I had after a night of poker with friends. I cover the Importance of The Comma, the benefits I've been experiencing from not drinking, and a few other things.

  • 44: Pet Detective (Epic)

A new episode edited by Steve! I sent this one his way a few weeks ago but we put it on the back burner in order to focus on Yakuza Chronicles. It's time to take a bit of a break from that series and explore some new stories, like this one focusing on the exciting and unpredictable day in the life of a master pet detective.

  • 43: Comedy Thoughts

I haven't been having the best week, but on this episode I'm trying to work through it a bit. Put some words to the feelings you dig? This one is mostly about comedy and some thoughts that I was having. Basically humbling myself I suppose, realizing I'm not doing enough and that I need to tear it all down and rebuild. Again. But I knew that was going to be required! Still is difficult when it happens.

  • 42: 2 Weeks Notice

This is a self reflection episode where I talk about my decision to quit my job and the factors that went into it. So this is the first Decision Journal I've made, basically that's when you make a big decision and you write down why you did it, then later on you revisit it and see if it was the right move or the wrong move and why. Also I discuss some of the anxiety I've been feeling. Kind of like some self therapy, perhaps some of you are experiencing similar feelings.

  • 41: A Lie Gone Wrong

This episode of Stories For The People features a Story From The Person: Garrett Nygren. Garrett delivers once again with a terrific prompt, "A Lie Gone Horribly Wrong." And it certainly is a story about a lie which ends up going horribly wrong. All I will say is that it involves a penis and the Burj Khalifa. Enjoy.

  • 40: Craig

In this installment of Stories For The People, I read a Story For The Person: Louis Petrocelli. Have you ever worked with someone and you think they are just the best? I mean you think they are the bees knees. So you decide to hang out with them outside work and it turns out maybe they aren't that great after all. This is a story about that.
