What does strange flesh mean? Jude 1:5-7 (KJV) sets forth Israel, the angels which kept not their first estate, and Sodom and Gomorrah as examples.
Book of Jude Part 2 with Matt Hepner and TopLobsta: three examples of apostasy, and why Sodom sinned "in like manner" to the angels.

Jude gives three examples of people who had it and lost it. Israel was saved out of Egypt and afterward destroyed for unbelief (Numbers 32, 1 Corinthians 10, Romans 11). The angels left their first estate and their own habitation (2 Corinthians 5:2) and are reserved in everlasting chains. Matt connects Jude 1:6-7 to the sons of God and the daughters of men in Genesis 6, the giants of Numbers 13 and Deuteronomy 2, and the sin of Sodom in Ezekiel 16 and Genesis 19, then shows from Romans 1 that every man has light he can turn away from.

What does it mean to earnestly contend for the faith? Jude 1:1-4 (KJV) warns that certain men crept in unawares, turning grace into lasciviousness.
Book of Jude Part 1 with Matt Hepner and TopLobsta: Jude writes to believers, not unbelievers, and eternal life is not casual.

Jude set out to write about the common salvation but stopped to exhort the church to contend for the faith. With Matt's eyes dilated, TopLobsta reads the scripture while Matt explains apostasy, the danger of neglecting so great salvation (Hebrews 2:1-3), the love of money (1 Timothy 6), antichrists who went out from us (1 John 2), Satan's ministers transformed into ministers of righteousness (2 Corinthians 11), the enemies of the cross of Christ (Philippians 3), and the solution: walk in the Spirit and sow to the Spirit (Galatians 5-6).

What does it mean to build on the rock? In Matthew 7:24-27 (KJV) both builders heard the sayings of Jesus, but only the wise man did them.
Live at The Standard Coffee Shop with Matt Hepner and TopLobsta: dig deep, do the work nobody sees, and that Rock was Christ (1 Corinthians 10:4).

Both men heard, both built, and both faced the storm. Luke 6:46-49 adds that the wise man dug deep, spending his time on the foundation nobody sees instead of the chandelier and the countertops. Matt ties it to the hypocrite's spider web (Job 8:13-15), the wise and foolish virgins (Matthew 25:1-13), the "many wonderful works" of Matthew 7:21-23 versus "my works" in Revelation 2:26, the holy calling of 2 Timothy 1:9, and where to start: love God with all your heart and love one another as Christ loved us (Mark 12:28-31; John 13:33-35). Then the room breaks into small groups to apply the message.

Why did Moses turn aside to see the burning bush? In Exodus 3:1-5 (KJV), God called Moses by name only when He saw that he turned aside to see.
Straight Bible 001, the very first episode, with Matt Hepner and TopLobsta: the burning bush was not Moses' first encounter with God.

Stephen's account in Acts 7 shows Moses already knew he was Israel's deliverer and jumped the gun 40 years earlier. Matt shows how God's calls are often subtle: Reinhard Bonnke turning back to knock on George Jeffreys' door, a 16-year-old knocking on a neighbor's door that launched a career, and four lepers at the gate who said, "Why sit we here until we die?" (2 Kings 7). You have been saved and called with a holy calling (2 Timothy 1:9), so how shall we escape if we neglect so great salvation (Hebrews 2:3)? The bush is on fire. Go check it out.
