On today's episode, Dennis speaks with Founder of The Lady Law Shield and Protective Wellness, Bridget Truxillo. Bridget knows the challenges law enforcement officers face, both outside and inside their agencies based on her experiences as a former Deputy Sheriff in Gainesville, Alachua County, Florida.
Bridget started out in Patrol, but very quickly transferred to the Narcotics and Organized Crime Unit (NOCU), and also became the only female member of the SWAT team.
During her time in the NOCU, Bridget routinely conducted undercover buys of narcotics and effectuated many arrest and search warrants as a result of her undercover operations.
While on the SWAT team, Bridget participated in serving search warrants, active shooter and hostage situations, competed twice in SWAT Round-up International (an International SWAT competition), as well as many hundreds of hours of training.
Although being a Deputy Sheriff allowed Bridget to serve the public, Bridget realized she wanted to find a way to serve the law enforcement and first responder community directly so she left law enforcement to attend law school as a means to glean the knowledge and skills necessary for this purpose. After 13+ years practicing law in civil litigation, Bridget was able to curate a unique business dedicated to representing and supporting law enforcement officers and first responders.
Today, Bridget and Dennis discuss tips for woman in law enforcement, importance of departments looking out for their men and women, seeing, validating and hearing your fellow co-workers, not taking things personal, legal advise and not controlling the nature of the job.

Mitch Aguiar is a 10 year Navy SEAL Veteran, Professional MMA Fighter and Entrepreneur. Mitch joined the Navy in 2008 and went straight to BUDS (Basic Underwater Demolition SEAL) training and graduated with BUDS class 273. After he had completed SEAL training he was stationed at SEAL Team 10 in Virginia Beach, where he did multiple combat deployments to Afghanistan as well as Europe.
In 2012 Mitch aka the Smashin’ Frog had started competing in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu as well as Mixed Martial Arts as a hobby and quickly found success in both. In 2017 he launched his first business, MASF (Mitch Aguiar Smashin’ Frog) Apparel with the intention of selling his fight shirts to his supporters. By the time Mitch had left the Navy in 2018 he was a 10x champion in mixed martial arts and was ranked number 1 on the east coast in both the 170lb and 185lb divisions.
In January of 2018 Mitch launched his supplement company MASF Supplements. While competing in Mixed Martial Arts Mitch explored different avenues of nutrition and weight cutting. This led him to develop a unique blend of powdered superfoods called the Smashin’ Greens. Utilizing his supplements, Mitch created a unique series of fasting challenges and encouraged his supporters to conquer them in order to instill his message that “Mindset Is Everything”. By 2020 MASF Supplements had become a successful company which allowed Mitch to fund and launch his own charity Adopt A Cop BJJ, a 501(C)3 that allows for Police officers anywhere in the United States to attend any Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy of their choosing and learn Brazilian Jiu Jitsu free of charge until the rank of Blue belt. The charity quickly grew and is currently affiliated with and being utilized by well over 1000 gyms across all 50 states. The program has had over 150 officers graduate and receive their Blue belts.
In 2022 Mitch launched a second brand called Violent Hippie which sells apparel, Jiu Jitsu Gi's and Organic CBD. That same year Mitch opened up the Violent Hippie Jiu Jitsu Academy which offers Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai and mixed martial arts training to its members. The brand/academy’s philosophy and motto is “Be kind, or else…”
Today, Dennis and Mitch discuss training BJJ to avoid catastrophic events, controlling suspects, staying prepared for the job, how and why Mitch started "Adopt a Cop BJJ" and the importance behind their mission, putting your ego to the side and recognizing your excuses.

On today's episode, Dennis is joined again by with RET. Delta Force Operator and Founder of Blue Bearing Solutions, Kyle Morgan.
Kyle is the Founder & CEO at Blu Bearing Solutions & for the past 20 years, he's served our country by fighting with elite special operations units in the harshest environments. He strived for excellence in everything he did and discovered that he thrives at leading cross-functional teams, creating inclusion, and making critical decisions under extreme stress. Kyle has been at the frontlines of every American kinetic conflict since 9/11. Starting as an infantryman in Iraq in 2003, then as a Special Forces Green Beret, and for the last 11 years as a Special Operator within the Army’s 1st SFOD-D Combat Applications Group, where he led and managed elite teams that specialize in hostage rescue.
Of all his experiences in the Service, one of the most challenging days was reacting to an attack while deployed as a Special Operations Advisor to the US Embassy in Bamako, Mali. His mission was to be a military advisor to the US Ambassador. This deployment had him engaging high-level State Department officials wearing a suit daily. Nothing about this was kinetic, but without regard for his safety, he ran towards the sounds of gunfire and relied on the training he had up to that point; Kyle formed a small team and led them to intervene in this horrendous terrorist attack on the Radisson Blu hotel in Bamako, Mali on 20 November 2015. Hundreds of innocent civilians were being held, hostage. This attack claimed the lives of twenty-three innocent civilians, including one American citizen.
This attack challenged him physically, mentally, and spiritually. Physically they were in control, and he had to fight on their terms. Mentally he had no time to prepare for what unfolded. Spiritually the evil that transpired and he witnessed was disgusting. This was the longest day of Kyle's life. That pushed his personal & professional abilities to new heights. He'll always be grateful for the personal development that happened during those very long and frustrating days that followed. Blu Bearing Solutions is the culmination of his career in the military.
They focus on building the “Protector” mindset and firearms instruction designed for law enforcement officers and law-abiding citizens, teaching students active shooter & crisis response tactics being used on the battlefield today by one of the most elite fighting forces in the world.”
Today, Dennis and Kyle discuss standardized active shooter training, the problems of receiving proper training, holding yourself accountable, never staying stagnant, safe guarding and helping others, the negatives of comparing trauma, learning to love yourself and making sacrifices and showing up every single day.
