Violence intensified in Sudan over the weekend. Since the regular army took control of the capital Khartoum last month, paramilitary forces have stepped up attacks on refugee camps around the Darfur city of El Fasher, including Zamzam camp. Home to more than half a million refugees, it has been the scene of heavy shelling and gunfire over the past two days.
