Syracuse men's lacrosse is two wins away from its first national championship since 2009, making back-to-back appearances in the Final Four for the first time since the 2008 and 2009 seasons.

The Orange open up Final Four play with Notre Dame in Charlottesville.

Mike Golic Jr., a former Irish football player, podcaster and big lacrosse fan joins Brent Axe on Syracuse Sports to provide the Notre Dame perspective on the matchup.

The road to Charlottesville goes through Hempstead. The Syracuse University men's lacrosse team takes on North Carolina on Saturday with back-to-back Final Fours on the line. 

ESPN's Quint Kessenich joins Brent Axe on Syracuse Sports to discuss how the Orange can get it done and take another step towards winning its first national championship since 2009. 

Kessenich and Axe talk about the third matchup between Syracuse and North Carolina this season and how the Orange can beat UNC the third time around. The goalie matchup will be key as SU's Jimmy McCool has struggled against UNC this season and the Tar Heels recently made a switch in net.

Axe and Kessenich also discuss what role Joey Spallina needs to play for SU to achieve its goal of winning a title and the other NCAA quarterfinal matchups of Penn State-Princeton, Georgetown-Duke and Johns Hopkins-Notre Dame.

Brent Axe checks in on how Gerry McNamara is rebuilding SU basketball through the transfer portal and recruiting.

Brent Axe recaps a busy triple-header day the JMA Dome with a lacrosse and football recap podcast. 

Syracuse.com's Javon Edmonds joins the show to go over all the finer points of the SU football spring game and what SU fans can takeaway from it.
