Syracuse held a 16-point lead over Pitt but were out-scored 46-28 in the 2nd half with yet another defensive meltdown. Syracuse lost despite hitting a season-high 14 3-pointers.

Brent Axe chats live following Syracuse basketball's 88-82 loss to North Carolina.

Another lackluster defensive effort haunted SU against the Tar Heels, wasting a 26-point night from Eddie Lampkin and 22 points from JJ Starling. 

SU's guiding light now with five games to go in the season is to avoid being left out of the ACC Tournament.  

Brent also discussed how he was was put to sleep by Adrian Autry's postgame presser and talked about how it demonstrated that even though the Orange play hard, they are just going through the motions four games below .500 with an 11-15 record.

Brent Axe recaps Syracuse basketball's 91-84 loss to Miami on Tuesday night.

Brent discusses how It was the rock bottom loss for Syracuse under head coach Adrian Autry. Sure, SU has been blown out by 29-points to Duke and has several double-digit losses this season, but losing to a 5-18 team with one ACC win this season entering Tuesday night's game? That's about as low as it gets. 

Axe discusses how Syracuse AD John Wildhack will struggle to convince the Orange fanbase that Autry is the right guy going forward for SU basketball with the bad losses piling up. 

Syracuse's big issue against the Hurricanes was defense, or lack thereof, a consistent problem for the Orange all season that has not improved but was at its worst against Miami.

Brent Axe recaps a wild 95-86 win for Syracuse basketball over Boston College in triple-overtime at the JMA Dome.

It certainly wasn't the prettiest game in the world. In fact, one might call it the "best worst game ever," but Syracuse got the win in its first game to go to three overtimes since the famous 6OT game against UConn in the 2009 Big East Tournament. 

JJ Starling led Syracuse with 28 points. Eddie Lampkin played 49 minutes, giving Syracuse a strong 14 points and 18 rebounds. 

Brent discusses how the game won't be remembered with reverence, but was a reminder of the curveball sports likes to toss at us once in awhile. He also digs into some coaching decisions made by Adrian Autry, including why Elijah Moore didn't play past much past a strong first half.

Brent Axe recaps Syracuse basketball's 83-54 loss to Duke and the state of the Orange hoops program.

Wednesday's 29-point win by Duke over Syracuse, its 10th straight win over the Orange, shows the gap has never been wider between the two ACC programs. Brent examines some big picture postgame comments made by SU head coach Adrian Autry and questions why SU fans should believe him. 

As for the the game, Cooper Flagg was not as dominant as advertised with 11 points and 5 rebounds but certainly had some "Sportscenter" worthy moments. The crowd at the dome (listed as 23,213) brought some buzz and energy to the building, especially the students, but unfortunately were not given a game to invest in as the 2nd half became a laugher.
