Dr. Mistry and Dr. Hedgecock go into detail about exactly what sleep apnea is and how it can take a serious toll on a person's health. Not only can it make sleeping with a partner difficult, but it can also contribute to hormone imbalance, fatigue, abnormal blood sugar levels, and stress management.
Dr. Hedgecock discusses some treatments for obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), which include the use of a CPAP machine or a specialized mouthpiece to ensure that the airway doesn't collapse during sleep.
