Talk Golf Scotland

This week we discuss what happened at the Renaissance Club in this past weekends Scottish Open.  Was the course too easy?  Were the greens too slow?  Was the rough penal enough etc...

We also discuss Beef Johnston and his return to form, and look forward to this weeks Open Championship at Royal Portrush...

In this weeks episode we talk about the newest and most exciting golfer on the planet in Mathew Wolff after his amazing win on the PGA Tour at the weekend.  We also talk )yet again) about slow play and Bryson De-Shambles!!

We look forward to the Scottish Open at The Renaissance and talk about John Daly being refused a buggy at The Open Championship.

In this special episode I got the chance to speak to Tim Clark of South Africa.  Tim was a top 40 player in the world for many years with his highlight winning the Players Championship at Sawgrass in 2010.  Tim also won the Scottish Open at Loch Lomond in 2005.

A great guy and a fantastic golfer who for many years punched well above his weight and won even though he struggled all his career with the dreaded yips!!

Now sidelined, probably for good, with a back injury, Tim has a fascinating story to tell.

A great guy and a fantastic golfer who many of you possibly don't remember but for me an amazing competitor who for many years punched well above his weight and won even though he struggled all his career with the dreaded yips!!

This week we discuss what went on at The Open final qualifying at St Andrews Bay.  We talk about who won a place at Royal Portrush and who didn't!!   We talk about golf's next superstar - Akshay Bhatia of the USA and the East of Scotland at Lundin GC.

In this episode we were lucky enough to spend some time with a Scottish golf living legend in Jim Farmer.  A man who has been involved in the game as a top class player, a leading coach and a fantastic ambassador for golf in Scotland.  Jim has been involved in the game professionally for 50 years and generously gave us a good hour of his time to talk golf - old and new!
