For episode 131 of The Walking Dead Talk Through, Kyle, Brian, and LT talk through The Walking Dead Season 11 Episode 8 titled For Blood. It was written by Erik Mountain and directed by Sharat Raju.
The showdown between Maggie and the Reapers is finally here and was there some whispering butt-kicking that was had. Pope sure does have some tricks up his sleeve but Leah ended up being the final trickster. The Alexandrians face a brutal storm with walkers knocking down the doors but Rosita showed up in the end that she is still a walker killing machine.
There was a lot of talk about where the heck is Meridian where it was a calm night but somehow Alexandria was getting its butt kicked by a storm of the century. The Hwacha, that Brian enjoys saying that word, was a puzzling choice of a weapon of mass destruction, but I guess it does send off an ominous vibe. And we get into a longer than I thought, discussion of The World Beyond. Which is starting to hold its own compared to last year. It might be good. So enjoy as Kyle, Brian, and LT as well as all our wonderful listeners feedback discuss Season 11 Episode 8th For Blood.
00:00:00 Intro

For Blood got a 0.53 in the 18-49 demographic, with 1.914 million viewers, up from the last episode S11E7 Promises Broken, which got a 0.47 in the 18-49 demographic and 1.891 million viewers. For episode 130 of The Walking Dead Talk Through, Kyle, Brian (in limited fashion), and LT talk through The Walking Dead Season 11 Episode 7 titled Promises Broken. It was written by Julia Ruchman and directed by Sharat Raju.
There were a lot of interesting things going on in this episode. Maggie and Negan have a brutal heart to heart, Eugene and the gang are working off their debt to the commonwealth but it ends up in a real pickle for Eugene. Yumiko is learning the ins and outs of the commonwealth political goings-on but kind of gets her newly reunited brother in trouble. So we will have a lot to see coming up in the two episodes left for this year.
We do talk about Daryl and Jane and the whole Reapers thing that is coming to a head. Pope is a kind of an unstable variable but what that means in the end we do not know. But we sure know Maggie, Elijah, and tag along Negan have a surprise that is slowing walking to Meridian. Next week looks to be pretty awesome.

We're back! Brian, Kyle, and LT talk through Star Trek: Lower Decks S2E8, titled I, Excretus. This episode was written by Ann Kim and directed by Kim Arndt. This may be the best episode yet of Lower Decks, as the Cerritos Lower Decks and senior officers switch roles and go through the situations of the past! This one is late in coming. We apologize. In fact...
I ran out of time this week, so what you're hearing is the version of the episode that I published to the Patreon listeners. I did more editing on this Patreon episode than I normally do when I produced this, so you'll find that it won't sound all that different from the regular version. The main difference is that you won't hear the music at the start and end of the episode. Rather than making you wait longer, I decided that the Patreon version was good enough. I'm sorry to make everyone wait so long this week. I just hadn't made enough progress on the final version that I didn't want to wait any longer and this version is good enough. We didn't want you to wait any longer for this one because this was the first great episode of this season, and I called it my favorite episode of the series to date.
Like the last two weeks, I came up with most of the Easter Eggs myself, but I did get some help from YouTube videos by Jessie Gender and What Culture.

For episode 129 of The Walking Dead Talk Through, Kyle, Brian, and LT talk through The Walking Dead Season 11 Episode 6 titled On the Inside. It was written by Kevin Deiboldt and directed by Greg Nicotero.
In one of the scariest episodes in show history, Connie and Virgil run into the wrong house, and Daryl, Leah, and the Reaper gang, unfortunately, run into the right house. We had one of the best episodes in The Walking Dead in years and the highest ratings from us as well as our listeners since the start of Season 11. I hope this continues because this was absolute almost perfect.
Daryl and company run around looking for Maggie and torturing Frost. Kyle is not so on board with this part of the story but maybe it will pay off. There is the Daryl and Carol Spinoff in the works so maybe this is part of what leads to that, but who knows. We will have to wait and see.

Ratings for S11E6 On the Inside are down, reaching another all-time low. On the Inside got a 0.43 in the 18-49 demographic, with 1.782 million viewers, down from the last episode S11E5 Out of the Ashes, which got a 0.51 in the 18-49 demographic and 1.914 million viewers. Talking Dead got a 0.14 in the 18-49 with 700,000 viewers, steady in rating but up in the total viewers of 0.14 and 657,000 viewers.
That's it for On the Inside. For our next episode, we'll be covering two episodes: The Walking Dead S11E7, titled Promises Broken, and The Walking Dead World Beyond returns for its second and final season, with S2E1, titled Konsekans. We're back! Brian, Kyle, and LT talk through Star Trek: Lower Decks S2E7, titled Where Pleasant Fountains Lie. This episode was written by Garrick Bernard and directed by Jason Zarek. This one is late in coming. We apologize.
It was a bit of a weird Ren Faire episode this week. Billups is royalty, and he must take the throne if he is no longer a virgin. Talk about TMI. In fact, this story didn't do it for me at all. It was a turn off.
We love Jeffrey Combs, and he was perfect as the evil computer. We hope he will be back to play this or some other character! The Mariner/Boimler/evil computer, in contrast to the Billups story, was really good. I do disagree with LT though. I LOVE black licorice!
Like last week, I came up with most of the Easter Eggs myself, about 90% of them, and there are a LOT of them, but I did find this video to fill out what I didn't find, from the What Did I Miss YouTube channel, Hopefully, you like the ones that I found/presented.

For episode 128 of The Walking Dead Talk Through, Kyle, Brian and LT talk through The Walking Dead Season 11 Episode 5 titled Out of the Ashes. It was written by LaToya Morgan and directed by Greg Nicotero.
So, in this episode, we get to see more of the Commonwealth and there are definitely secrets behind the curtain. What, we don't know, but it's all very suspect. Eugene gets some help from Stephanie to access the town radio to contact the group, Princess is flirting around with the red stormtrooper, and Yumiko is reconnected with her brother Tomi who has a sweet tooth instead of a scalpel. Again, from the start, we see the propaganda that the Commonwealth is using to either hide its underbelly or keep control of its citizens and all those that seek asylum. Maggie and Negan hit it off again, and by hit it off she throws a knife at his head (well a walker behind him but still). Negan tries to influence Maggie with commonsense about their situation but in the end, her decision won with the return of Father Gabriel and Elijah to the safe house. Aaron, Carol, and more go back to the ruins of Hillside only to find some whispering squatters that start to push Aaron over to the dark side. Like really dark. There was so much pain and anger behind his eyes that I wonder if he's going to go all Rick Grimes and do whatever it takes, good or bad, to protect the ones around him. And yes, by the end we get some good news about Connie. That was the icing on the cake for this episode.
We again have great feedback from our listeners and overall I think most enjoyed this episode more than what we have already been given so let’s hope that continues.

We're back! Brian and Kyle are joined later in the podcast by LT, and the three of them talk through Star Trek: Lower Decks S2E6, titled The Spy Humongous. This episode was written by John Cochran and directed by Bob Suarez.
The Pakleds are a funny alien species, but they are a bit problematic. If they are as dumb as they seem, how can they be a spacefaring civilization? We talked about that quite a bit this week. My take on the Pakleds is: Don't overthink them too much. Once you start to question them, they kind of fall like a house of cards. They just don't make a lot of sense.
We've been graced with Mary Lou's voicemails the last four episodes, and now Dwight Berman's two voicemails. Will we have a love connection on this podcast? Stay tuned next week!
Like most episodes of Lower Decks, this one is filled with Easter Eggs from Star Trek of old. This one was no different. I couldn't find an article with them this week, so I found my own. I did find some with additional help last week, but this week, these are 100% my findings. Hopefully, you like the ones that I found.

For episode 127 of The Walking Dead Talk Through, Brian and LT talk through The Walking Dead Season 11 Episode 4 titled Rendition. It was written by Nicole-Mirante Matthews and directed by Frederick E.O. Toye.
The Reapers are an interesting bunch. Stocked with Meridian's supplies and God on their side. Makes for another cultish romp that I think most of us are a little tired of. Leah is there who we saw Daryl with back in Season 10c. She is looking a little older but wouldn't you know it. Dog, at the first chance, just walks away from, who we thought was his boo. Not anymore. I give that a Sad Face emoji. Overall this episode was pretty standard TWD fare that hopefully has more to the full arch of the final season and not just some filler for time. Great feedback from our listeners this week, as always. Keep it up.

We're back! Brian and Kyle talk through Star Trek: Lower Decks S2E5, titled An Embarrassment of Dooplers. The Cerritos escorts a diplomat with a very weird quirk to a conference at Starbase 25, Boimler and Mariner try to crash a big Starfleet party, while Tendi and Rutherford play with model starships. We thought it was a better episode than last week - especially Kyle, who did not like last week's episode AT ALL.
You may notice that the audio sounds a little different this week, specifically, the intro and outro music. We have been using AAC files instead of MP3 for the Star Trek podcast episodes. However, for some reason, we couldn't upload the AAC file to our hosting provider, so we're going with the MP3 version instead. The only thing you may notice is that the music sounds is in mono.
We have been blessed with voicemails from Mary Lou for the last three episodes. Well, we've got another voicemail from Mary Lou, and it seems that Mary Lou has an admirer. We've got two voicemails from a fan of Mary Lou!
Like most episodes of Lower Decks, this one is filled with Easter Eggs from Star Trek of old. This one was no different. I couldn't find an article with them this week, so I found my own. I found quite a few, but there were a lot more that I missed, particularly in the bar.

For episode 126 of The Walking Dead Talk Through, Kyle, Brian, and LT talk through The Walking Dead Season 11 Episode 3 titled Hunted. It was written by Vivian Tse and directed by Frederick E.O. Toye.
The Reapers scattered our crew in all directions and it wasn't pretty but at lease some were sent six feet under. Some without their shoes. Maggie and Negan are still at it again but I think Maggie is getting a little soft. Carol gets the girl squad to hunt down the horses only to make a 'Wilbur, look at the flowers' moment. But I guess when you are starving you have to do what is needed to survive. We have some great feedback from our listeners and some of our own about Alden. I'll just leave it at that. I don't want to jinx anything with his life on the line.
