In our first Anfield FM show we review the 96/97 season when we managed to finish 4th in a 2 horse race. Despite the ultimate disappointment there were many many high points including the famous 2nd 4-3 v Newcastle United match at Anfield.

Matching our walk through the show is the tunes that were knocking around as things happened.

Tune in to our next anfieldfm show this weekend and next season review in a fortnight at

www.anfieldfm.org or on the trippers website or on tunein radio.

This weeks episode looks back at a game that was so close yet so far away in the end from what would have been a sweet sweet derby day victory. We look at ahead at 2 crucial matches in the week ahead and try to figure out which takes priority. We close out the pod discussing this weeks non match headlines including the Sakho incident, Bren’s man management skills, who we want to kick and our favourite sorprano’s season.

Get on it.

In our seasons first joint effort with the lads at the Anfield Index we take a look at the upcoming Merseyside derby and try to figure out whats going to happen. Dave Hendrick and Ryan McTernan make up an all Irish quartet to discuss every tactic we could employ as none of us know who’s fit or not at this stage. We rattle through how we’d  think the youngsters so impressive in the Capital One Cup may be worth a chance and try to figure a revolutionary new formation which might just work with the current personnel.

Its our first birthday and we were beaten. Interestingly our first pod was after we had lost to Southampton so some deja poo in full effect. Right so we have to talk about West Ham and we cover what has to be covered given the god awful affair we witnessed on Saturday evening. Thankfully we have a great interview with Jason McAteer the former Red and Irish International to lighten things up. We follow that with a unique lack of insight into the Boro game and round out with trippers chats where we discussed who’s next manager for the chop, daggers quotes and christmas stockings.

The one that had to talk about the Villa game. We look back at the game and while disappointed we find a lot to be hopeful and see lessons to be learned. We look ahead to the match v West Sam on Saturday and finish out with some trippers chats involving a discussion on how to make anfield noisier, mighty red, the jonah and a day trip with some sighseeing/creepy football stalking thrown in.
