On today’s Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran is joined by Aaron Quinn (Cover 1) for their weekly chat, this time around focused heavily on the wild first few days of “legal tampering” free agency around the NFL, including the Buffalo Bills.
As of this recording the biggest news involving the Bills was losing linebacker Tremaine Edmunds to the Chicago Bears. Aaron has plenty of thoughts on Tremaine involving his team with the team, play on the field and contract he got in Chicago. They also discuss the addition of guard Connor McGovern and some of the low-key free agents they’ve retained through this point.
The guys also talk about some of the big happenings around the league, including a few big trades on Tuesday involving Dallas and the New York Giants as well as other big signings, never ending Aaron Rodgers drama and plenty more.

On this episode of Talking Buffalo, Monday was an eventful day for the Buffalo Bills and the NFL as the legal tampering period that precedes free agency began. Patrick Moran is joined by Joe from Queens to discuss some of the more notable moves, including the Bills losing their start middle linebacker Tremaine Edmunds to the Chicago Bears.
The Bills were hoping to find a way to retain Edmunds but that went out the window by 4:00pm Monday when reports circulated that Edmunds agreed to a four-year, $72 million deal with $50 million guaranteed with Chicago. The guys have plenty of thoughts on the situation including if he's worth that kind of money and is Brandon Beane dropped the ball by not locking Edmunds up a year or two earlier. Regardless of how you feel about Edmunds it's a hard look for a team to take a guy in the first round, develop him into a Pro Bowler and then watch him leave without a second contract.
The Bills did do some acquiring and retaining on Monday, picking up former Dallas offensive guard Connor McGovern to likely replace Roger Saffold. Buffalo also made investments in retaining special teams guys, including Sam Martin, Tyler Matekovich and Cam Lewis.
The guys also talk about some of the major moves around the league, including Jimmy G landing with Vegas, an offensive tackle cashing in with Kansas City and a pair of Bengals safeties finding new homes.

On today’s Talking Buffalo it’s another episode of the “LIVE From Imperial” series as Patrick Moran’s joined by one of the most esteemed sports journalists in the land, Tyler Dunne for a conversation that was streamed live at Imperial Pizza in South Buffalo.
Obviously there’s plenty of Buffalo Bills and NFL stuff to talk about and Tyler’s as plugged in as anyone. He has thoughts on what Brandon Beane may do in free agency, with reports that Buffalo is expected to lose two defensive stalwarts in Tremaine Edmunds and Jordan Poyer. Will the Bills allocate significant sources to again solidify the defensive side of the ball, will they go all-in on offense and try to outscore everyone or will they not do much at all and rely more heavily than ever on the draft?
Tyler also discusses the very real possibility that Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers will soon become a New York Jet as well as some other thoughts around the league. That plus Tyler’s take on Imperial wings and much more.
You can follow Tyler on Twitter @TyDunne. Be sure to check out and subscribe Go Long With Tyler Dunne . It’s packed with premiere content including some of the best long-form journalism you’ll find anywhere. Also, be sure to check out Tyler’s Go Long Podcast, available on all podcasting platforms. On this episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran is joined by Aaron Quinn (Cover 1) for their weekly chat, this week focused on predicting where several current Buffalo Bills and players from around the league will ultimately land in free agency.
It’s a large free agent class for Buffalo in a process that officially begins next week, headlined by players like Tremaine Edmunds, Jordan Poyer, Devin Singletary, Jordan Phillips and Roger Saffold. Of course, the Bills aren’t in good salary cap shape, which means some guys they’d definitely prefer to keep are going to end elsewhere. The guys go through the list and try to pick a handful of players they think Brandon Beane may prioritize, including agreeing that Tremaine Edmunds could very well get re-signed while feeling confident that Jordan Poyer's ready to move on.
They also offer predictions for what team will, in Rex Ryan fashion "win the offseason." Also, could Buffalo trade for Tennessee running back Derrick Henry? Could Buffalo surprise people and go after a big-name tight end? Who is the best fit to behind Josh Allen at quarterback next season? That plus their Finish the Sentence segment and much more.

On this episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran is joined by writer, podcaster and sports media personality Joe Yerdon for their weekly chat, this week focused on the aftermath of Leslie Frazier not returning to the Buffalo Bills this coming season and the Buffalo Sabres continuing to very much stay alive in the NHL wildcard race.
The guys spend time discussing the unexpected departure of Frazier several weeks after the season ended with a report being largely attributed to burnout. It’s a polarizing topic, many thinking the Bills may better off without him going forward, with Patrick pointing out examples of why that could be----while others are warning fans to be careful what they wish for. They also talk about the possibility of Buffalo trading for Derrick Henry.
They also talk Sabres, who had a huge home victory over Tampa last Saturday to keep them close in the eastern conference playoff race with yet another huge week (four games) on tap. Joe also talks about the new Sabres, Jordan Greenway and Riley Stillman and annoying trade deadline complaining from last week.

On this episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran is joined by writer and sports media personality Joe Yerdon for their weekly chat, heavily focused on the Buffalo Sabres continuing to exceed early season expectations and earn their respect with fans in Buffalo and around the league.
The Sabres went through a brutal stretch of games against four very good last weeks and managed to win three of them. the great job Kevyn Adams did in locking up both Tage Thompson and Dylan Cozens, the Alex Tuch injury and a veteran forward Joe thinks would be a great fit for Buffalo.
That plus some weekend food adventures, Jake Paul losing his first fight and plenty more.

On this extremely rare weekend episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran is joined by recurring guest Joe from Queens to discuss the polarizing divide over whether the Buffalo Bills should re-sign star free agent linebacker Tremaine Edmunds in addition to several other topics.
Patrick put up a poll on his Twitter this week asking fans if the Bills should pay Edmunds the huge contract he’ll get from somewhere before or when free agency begins. With nearly 1,000 people voting the result of the poll were within less than one half of one point. Joe has thoughts on the divide and it dwarfs into several other Bills related conversations, including disagreement over Ed Oliver’s value and Patrick being highly confident that despite some rumors floating around, Stefon Diggs does not want the Bills to trade him.
They also talk about the newspaper print business basically being on life support at this point and how that might play out as well as the Buffalo Sabres exceeding expectations, Joe’s annual sabbatical from Twitter, why there was no episode of Talking Buffalo on Friday and plenty more.

On this episode of Talking Buffalo, it’s the third annual podcaster’s roundtable as Patrick is joined by three of the best content creators in the Buffalo sports market or anywhere else --- Joe Marino (Locked on Bills), Greg Tompsett (Cover 1) and Bruce Nolan (Buffalo Rumblings ) for a discussion exclusively about the art of content creating.
It’s a rare step back from talking Buffalo Bills football for the guys, but for a third consecutive year this quartet gathers on the show to talk all things content creating and podcasting. Among other topics the guys discuss how the podcasting game has changed over the past few years, dealing with peaks and valleys of producing shows, areas of content creating that can get frustrating, how they deal with good or bad numbers and handling takes from guests they strongly disagree with.
It's an episode aimed exclusively at content creators, those interesting in becoming a content creator and fans of Joe, Bruce and Greg who are interested in learning more about them personally and their processes with putting together amazing sports content. Don’t miss this!
