In this super cool episode of the Sexier than a Squirrel podcast, Lauren is joined by her wonderful friend, superstar dog lady and fellow Agility lover, Mel Doyle, to chat all things canine rehabilitation, dog sports, injuries and the importance of fitness for healthy happy dogs!

After training assistance dogs and their owners for over 15 years, Mel switched gears and retrained as a Small Animal Veterinary Physiotherapist and Hydrotherapist and has over ten years of experience working with and formulating treatment and performance plans for a variety of breeds and ages, including sporting dogs, senior dogs and those recovering from injury or surgery.

In this awesome episode, Lauren and Mel dive into some super cool tips and tricks for owners who are looking to improve their dog's fitness and quality of life, and some super advice for owners who maybe have a dog needing physiotherapy and rehabilitation treatment.

We also dive into Mel's story and her brave leap to open her own clinic at home, enabling her to offer an integrated land and water-based Veterinary Physiotherapy service utilising an underwater treadmill! 

And of course, we couldn't chat with Mel without touching on her time working with and treating Lauren's rockstar Border Collie Brave after her ANNPE injury and how Mel approaches creating bespoke plans and treating dogs like Brave and working with their owners on their dog’s rehab journey and the road to recovery.
