In a Zoom trial run, the host joins Old Grumpy Hunter (Gary) to discuss crossbow hunting, arrow performance, and Gary’s use of the calculators on deathbybunjie.com, while also recapping a frigid Tioga Boar Ranch hunt where Gary took a large hog with his setup. They analyze how arrow weight impacts speed, kinetic energy, momentum, and efficiency—arguing momentum drives penetration—compare Ravin R29X and R26X setups, and preview future hunts and an upcoming interview with engineer Darren Cummings.

In response to a comment on Bunjie’s Buffalo video, I discuss ethics and why this commenter’s opinion on the topic doesn’t matter to me! LOL In all seriousness, it’s a good topic to discuss, and I hope my explanation clarifies what he might have missed. There’s discussion of my One Gun philosophy here, which I believe is very relevant. All Hail Bunjie!

The Fourth Ever Death by Bunjie Meat & Greet is in the books! I am happy to say that in my opinion, and Bunjie’s opinion, it was a success! Twenty-two hunters joined me and Genevieve and The O.B. in the woods of Tioga County, PA. We braved the cold weather—a whopping 1º when we left for the Ranch, and it reached a balmy 15º for a high. Genevieve and I were out there for an hour waiting on a shot, but it paid off. Other hunters struggled through the cold with dead batteries, but we persevered! One such Meat & Greeter was Old Grumpy Hunter, aka Friend of Bunjie Gary. He and I chat about what worked and what didn’t on this outing.

Two recent videos I did on TenPoint’s new 2026 releases sparked a few fun comments, and in this podcast, I discuss those comments.

Genevieve and I talk about her first year trapping on State Gamelands. In this episode, we talk about whether she was successful as of late, and we discuss plans for next year!

AI will make a big splash worldwide in 2026 and Death by Bunjie is embracing that technology full force. We’ll USE that tech—not be USED by it! (Hopefully, fingers crossed, LOL) Here, I used AI to help craft a video and a podcast, and then we’ll debate the results. What do YOU think?

I got a comment on a video from “@deanmccabe8783,” compaining, “Me or my grand kids don’t need to see a picture of a dead buck with blood all over and a big gash in its chest? Show some respect for our game animals or I’m canceling my subscription!” I’m not sure what part of “Death by Bunjie” you don’t understand, but that picture of a smiling Genevieve with her Ohio buck is, well…Death by Bunjie.

Excuses Only Satisfy Those Who Make Them! Those were the words on the wall in my high school gym. They apply to us as crossbow hunters, and I give examples of that in this podcast.

Language, Rich! Watch your language! LOL A Friend of Bunjie commented recently on language I used in a video, and I discuss that in this podcast.
