Today’s Conversation is with Scott Brown. Scott is the Associate Head Coach for Vanderbilt University Baseball with over 30 years of playing and coaching at the college level.  

This conversation will discuss the similarities between the military and competitive sports.

Scott is going into his 12th season as the pitching coach and eighth as associate head coach at Vanderbilt. Scott has helped the Commodores go 472-203-1 (.701). 

During Brown’s tenure, 39 Commodore pitchers have been selected in the MLB Draft, including 12 in the first three rounds. Scott has helped the Commodores to two national championships, four College World Series finals appearances, nine NCAA Tournaments, and six NCAA Super Regional appearances. Since 2013, 13 different Vandy pitchers have been named All-America.

She has countless unique experiences growing up in Kentucky, getting into West Point, and succeeding in some of the most challenging situations in our Army.

Today’s Conversation is with Drew Morgan. Drew is an Army Colonel, physician, and Army astronaut. He is the proud commander of Team Kwajalein, US Army Garrison at Kwajalein Atoll in the Republic of the Marshal Islands.

Let’s Go 2024!

 

The purpose of this episode is to gain clarity on 2024 by focusing on our goals, getting on a path, and specifying steps along the way to get there.  To do this, we’ll execute a “Morning Standup”.

 

A Morning Standup takes between 15-25 minutes. 

5 min: Each person shares the “ONE” thing they MUST get done today. No matter what. 

5 min: What does the rest of our day look like?

5 min: What does the rest of the week look like?

5 min: What big decisions do we have coming up?

5 min: Get it off your chest.
