Golden Boy Promotions has signed former featherweight champion, Yuriokis Gamboa and has scheduled him for the co-main event of David Lemieux vs. Curtis Stevens on March 11th.

WBC heavyweight champion Deontay “Bronze Bomber” Wilder apparently had a more significant opponent lined up before he was matched with Andrej Wawrzyk but that opponent did not seem too interested.

 

Hughie Fury, according to Peter Fury, turned down the Wilder fight for a number of reasons. Is this a duck? Would Wilder be a step too high too quick? Will this fight happen this year? Is Joseph Parker next for Fury? All questions we will answer.

On another edition of The Rumor Mill, it seems that the fight between IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook and British star Amir Khan is officially not happening.

 

According to ESPN the negotiations between Brook’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, and Khan’s team ‘collapsed.’ Khan wanted a 70/30 split as he saw himself as the A-side, while Brook and Hearn wanted a 50/50 split.

 

Khan reportedly is looking for a fight in April then a matchup with the winner of Keith Thurman vs. Danny Garcia.
