Hello everyone. Today I decided to do a follow-up to my video from a few months ago, "Response To Contrarian Dude: 'Why Beau of the Fifth Column pisses me off'". Contrarian Dude did a follow-up video to his original one, and the plot thickens... In this video, we discuss the qualities of conservatives and progressives, and what makes a new, good, or progressive idea. Hope you enjoy!

I stumbled on Classically Abby about a year ago when I started noticing advertisements of her videos in my feed. I've been watching some of her videos off and on and finally decided to do a reaction video on her channel in a general sense. Specifically, I discuss a few points she makes in response to some comments on the topic of abortion, women's rights, feminism, and what "self care" really means. I think she's basically a representation of a culture that is gradually fading away in this country, but I also think her messages can be destructive at times and so I wanted to do a short analysis of my thoughts on her channel. Hope you enjoy.

Desmond Lewis quit the Sacramento Fire Department in March of 2021, citing a hostile and toxic work environment rife with sexism, racism, and misogyny. He is now returning after the Department and city of Sacramento have implemented major changes to improve racial diversity and sensitivity, including a budget increase of $2.2 million to create a new division--Diversity, Outreach and Recruitment Division. The problem seems to be, a lot of people were unhappy with the way this young man enacted change. Is there an "acceptable" way for black people to protest in this country?
Today I'd like to respond to an excellent video by Beau of the Fifth Column on how white people should respond to racism they see. Beau did an excellent discussion on how to respond to more overt displays of racism. I would just like to add my thoughts on responding to the more "covert" racist takes, ones coming from people who may not even acknowledge or consciously be aware of their own racism.
A day after Gavin Newsom decisively won an attempted recall, I wanted to share some thoughts on observations about those who make the loudest noises in a debate. Also, a reminder to make sure your voice (and, more importantly, actions) are heard and applied.
A discussion on why there is such an emotionally charged reaction when corporations change their name. Who are the ones who are "supposed" to be offended?
Note: Midway through the video I was disrupted by the garbage pick-up. Massive over-sight on my part. I decided to keep talking through hoping it wouldn't be too distracting, because I was already in rhythm and didn't want to disrupt the momentum. My videos aren't scripted so it would be difficult to pick back up smoothly. Hope it wasn't too much of a distraction. I'll try to plan better next time.

Continuing the conversation on freedom.
"The government has a defect: it's potentially democratic. Corporations have no defect: they're pure tyrannies." -- Noam Chomsky
I'm going to be doing a short series over the next few days involving the 20th Anniversary of the terrorist attacks on 9/11. In this video we'll discuss the topic of freedom as it's applied to modern society.
