With a bit of psychology and neuroscience intertwined, we learn what our brain does with fear foods, and how to work our brain in a way that makes us thrive in recovery. Today's episode is AMAZING! I have a special guest, Morgan (balancebymorgan on Instagram) to talk about all things fueling, running, and recovery. She shares a bit of her story of how she overcame an eating disorder, found a love for running, and learned how to fuel for performance as a runner. She overcame a brief period of underfueling, resulting in a 5 minute PR in the 5k! Once she learned the power of nutrition, she developed a passion for inspiring others. She started her social media to show others that eating like an athlete is okay and inspire others to fuel their best lives.
We talk about how smartwatches don't accurately tell you how much you need to fuel, that fueling as an athlete requires much more than you think, how to overcome comparison, and how to love your sport and find joy in the athlete you are. It truly is a great conversation and she shares so much wisdom. You can connect with Morgan on her Instagram, linked below!

Thanks for tuning into another episode! Today is my first episode with my best friend Kayleigh (@fithappyhealthykayls on instagram)! We met through social media and found we had so much in common, and our friendship took off from there. She will be on many of my podcast episodes, we thought there was no better topic to discuss for our first episode than friendships in social media!
Today we answer and discuss questions such as:
- What are the positives of having an online friend group/community? How can we connect with others authentically through social media? How can this help us with our mental health?
- How can having an online friend or friend group be bad for mental health?
- How can we build for God's kingdom through online accounts?
- What are some "red flags" to look out for when deciding who to connect with online?
- How do we safely make social media friends?
It truly is a great conversation, and you won't want to miss out on this episode! Thanks for listening!
