  • Boston Marathon Cutoff Times, Grief, Identity, and Q&A

Hello everyone, and welcome back to another episode! Today's episode was highly requested and talks about all things Boston Marathon cutoff times related. We first talk through the history of the qualification times, the history of cutoff times, and what could have led to the stringent cutoff time this year. I then give you my opinion on the matter, and discuss ways to cope if you qualified and didn't make the cutoff. I emphasize how your worth and success as a runner are INDEPENDENT of the cutoff times (non-controllable), and how to move forward if you feel hopeless or stuck. Finally, I answer some of your questions and elaborate on some of your opinions. I hope this episode gives you some insight into the Boston marathon process and helps you feel less alone if you are navigating a sense of loss if you missed the cutoff time.
