Here's the latest in my Stop & Think series. In it, I question the adoption of traditional double-action pistols by AIWB carriers due to safety concerns.
Caleb Causey joins me to discuss Range Response Plans.
In this episode, I discuss the four biggest influences on me as a firearms instructor.
This show, such that it is, began as an effort to inspire some critical thinking and dialog. The first effort was a video clip in which I questioned the notion that just saying "training accident" was a magic phrase that would speed up the emergency response. This podcast is the audio from that first video along with two responses, and I am packaging the audio in this format as a setup for an upcoming episode with Caleb Causey in which we discuss Range Response plans.
Chris Cypert of Citizen Defense Research and Caleb Causey of Lone Star Medics are featured in this episode.
Thanks to: Cecil Burch of Immediate Action Combatives, Brian Hill of The Complete Combatant, Steve Moses and Guy Schnitzler of Palisade Training Group for providing their expertise in this episode.
Morgan Ballis of the Campus Safety Alliance joins me to discuss the need for instructors to avoid confirmation bias in designing their curriculum.
Karl Rehn of KR Training joins me for part two of his interview to discuss the logistics of hosting, traveling, and facilities of firearms training
Steve Moses of Palisade Training Group joins me to discuss firearms instructors needing to stay in their lane with classes that are relevant to their certifications and experience.
