As many of us are homeschooling our kids or managing their hybrid school schedules along with our own work day, we’re all scrambling in the mornings. Breakfast is undoubtedly the most important meal of the day as our kiddos are breaking their fast of 12 hours of sleep beforehand. So we want to give them foods that are satiating and nourishing.
Today, we’re talking to a female and mom founder, Emily Groden, who’s helping make breakfast a little easier and a lot healthier. Her company is called Evergreen and they specialize in waffles.

There are many heroes that have made a substantial impact during the global pandemic. Veterans of sustainable product manufacturing, Co-Founders Marissa and Adam Goldstein, who founded Rafi Nova named after their two sets of twins and travel partners: Raya, Efi, Noa, and Eyva, quickly pivoted their business to give back.
Known for their handcrafted bags, they began making 100% cotton face masks and donated 150,000 masks to frontline workers.
Rafi Nova is a social enterprise on a mission to create products that meet the ever-changing needs of families while connecting global communities. Founded as a fair-trade fashion brand to equip adventurous families with sustainably made travel bags, the company shifted focus to face masks to solve the urgent needs of families and communities.
Marissa Goldstein is a proud mother to two sets of twins and CEO leading sustainable fair-trade travel accessory brand, Rafi Nova. As an avid traveler, Marissa founded Rafi Nova to encourage families to travel while creating meaningful connections with global communities. While the pandemic shifted her company's production to face masks it expanded the company's ability to connect and protect communities and support social causes committed to inclusivity. Under Marissa's leadership, Rafi Nova will have donated more than 150,000 masks to organizations in need and workers on the front line by the year's end.
Prior to launching Rafi Nova, Marissa and her husband, Adam, worked in the sustainable product manufacturing industry. After earning an MBA at Babson University, Marissa and her family of four (at the time) split their time in Vietnam and Boston, MA. While in Vietnam in 2017, Marissa noticed a group of Hmong women were selling handmade clothes made from brightly colored textiles. Goldstein felt compelled to tell those people’s stories and incorporate it into her business.

Wouldn’t it be amazing if you could use your super powers to attract exactly what you want in life? Whether you are vying for that promotion, yearning to find love again, or praying for a child, you can manifest what you want. And my guest today can show you how.
I am thrilled to have with me New York Times bestselling author, international speaker, and spiritual junkie, Gabrielle Bernstein on my show.
In 2008, she founded HerFuture.com, a social networking and mentoring website for women. She has worked as a public relations entrepreneur and is the founder SparkPlug Communications. She co-founded the Women's Entrepreneurial Network, a non-profit professional organization that connects female entrepreneurs, and has written seven books including Add More Ing to Your Life, The Universe Has Your Back - Transform Fear to Faith, and most recently Super Attractor - Methods for Manifesting a Life Beyond Your Wildest Dreams.
She’s been on a spiritual path in life. It all started with her sitting by her mother’s side, meditating in ashrams in upstate New York.
She turned to spirituality on and off throughout her teens and early twenties. She was a dabbler until her darkest hour. It was spirituality that saved her in October 2005, when she hit bottom and got sober.
The day she chose sobriety was the day she became a Spirit Junkie. She started soaking up spiritual principles, meditation practices and anything else that helped her get aligned with her true purpose: to be a source of love and inspiration in the world.
Her mission is to help you crack open to a spiritual relationship of your own understanding so that you can live in alignment with your true purpose, too!
There are many ways that Gabby can help you, no matter where you are on your spiritual path.

Gail Becker is the Founder and CEO of CAULIPOWER. As a mom in the corporate world, Gail’s time was at a premium. For two sons with celiac disease, family pizza night was a choice between high-sugar, high-calorie, low-nutrition store-bought gluten-free pizza or tedious, messy process making it on her own. She finally cracked the code with a cauliflower recipe and is now selling nationwide.
Forbes Article - Starting in 30 Whole Foods stores in March, 2017, Becker's Caulipower pizza line has surpassed sales of 10 million pizzas, and is available in an estimated 25,000 national and regional grocery stores, such as Whole Foods, Kroger, Walmart and Safeway, Target.
Her company, Vegolutionary Foods, is branching into new product lines, including a toast made from sweet potatoes that has just hit the market.

Then, as Chair of Canada and Latin America, she helped triple the firm’s business in LatAm and grew revenue in Canada by 77 percent in five years. Throughout her tenure with Edelman, Gail has served as strategic counsel on a broad range of clients, including Warner Bros., Starbucks, Microsoft, Norton, Activision, MPAA and The Recording Academy/Grammys. A
She joined Edelman after serving as vice president of communications at Warner Home Entertainment, where she spearheaded the global public relations launch of the DVD format on behalf of Warner Bros. and Time Warner, leaders in development of the technology, and served as the primary PR strategist and spokesperson for the companies throughout several controversial format and copyright battles.
Gail served as director of communications for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services under Donna Shalala during the first Clinton Administration. There, she developed and implemented communications programs to promote the agency and its divisions, including the FDA and Centers for Disease Control.
Prior to that post, she served as a member of the national press staff and as the primary on-site satellite producer for candidates Bill Clinton and Al Gore during their ’92 presidential campaign.

Today’s episode is about how beauty is skin deep. According to Catalyst.org, women of color will be the majority population in the US by 2060. Isn’t it incredible to think our world population is continuing to evolve.
I am excited to chat with my guest today who’s an accomplished black entrepreneur in the global beauty industry. We’re going to cover colorism and racism in society, how brands are changing the narrative to accommodate all ethnicities and embrace a full range of skin tones, how to support black lives matter, and she’ll share her favorite products with us for every season.
Nyakio (Nee Kay Oh) Kamoche Grieco is the founder of nyakio™, an award-winning collection of prestige skincare products inspired by beauty secrets she discovered through her family, friends and world travels. Her interest in beauty, coupled with a yearning to be an entrepreneur, prompted Nyakio to thoroughly research the cosmetics industry, leading her to the realization that while many cultures were represented, the sophistication of Africa was missing. She decided to not only fill the void in the market, but also honor her heritage by bottling Africa’s timeless beauty traditions, as well as traditions from across Asia, Europe and India. Nyakio’s authentic story and her one-of-a-kind products, which are must-haves of Hollywood’s elite, provide an enriching and luxurious experience that leaves the skin more youthful-looking. The products are available at Target.com. Nyakio lives in Los Angeles with her husband, renowned sculptor David Grieco, daughter Lulu, son Rocco and dog Summer.

If you've found yourself binging on the latest shows to break free from the stress and monotony of life in a pandemic, chances are you've come across The Morning Show, Little Fires Everywhere, and Big Little Lies. All productions of Hello Sunshine released on Apple TV, Hulu, and HBO respectively. Having bagged 18 Emmy nominations, Hello Sunshine is a welcome disruptor and new media company that puts women at the center of every story that it creates, celebrates, and discovers. Stories we love, big and small, funny and complex, across television, film, books and podcasts, shining a light on where women are now and helping them chart a new path forward.
It's the brainchild of America’s sweetheart Reese Witherspoon, who...fun fact...began her acting career after first enrolling at Stanford. We've had the pleasure of watching her grow up on screen through her roles in Pleasantville, Cruel Intentions, the Legally Blonde series (which is soon to be a trilogy!) and her Academy Award winning performance in Walk the Line, to name a few. To top it off, she became a mom at the ripe age of 23 and made it her priority to be devoted to her three children, Ava, Deacon, and Tennessee.
As accomplished as she is, she knew she didn’t want her career to be just about her. She decided to leave a legacy that's far more impactful and inclusive. Hello Sunshine.
So who’s heading the company behind the scenes and is Reese’s own trusted right hand woman? It’s Sarah Harden. Sarah has been at the helm as CEO leading Hello Sunshine through its rapid growth as a premium content studio and direct-to-consumer media brand. Prior to this, Sarah was President of Otter Media, a privately held joint venture between AT&T and the Chernin Group, where she spearheaded Otter’s first investment - Hello Sunshine. As President, she acquired, invested and launched global OTT video services with a variety of media companies including Fullscreen, Roosterteeth, Crunchyroll, Ellation, and Sky. During her leadership, Otter generated $400 million in revenue and acquired and retained more that 1.5 million paying subscribers across its video subscription businesses. Earlier on, Sarah was Group Director at New Corp Asia and SVP of Business Development at Fox Networks. She began her career at Boston Consulting Group in Melbourne, Australia and went on to attend Harvard Business School with high distinction as a Baker Scholar.
Sarah’s most important role, however, is being a mother. Sarah and her husband Dave have 3 kids -- Lulu, 16, Tommy, 14, and Fletcher, 10. And, another fun fact...she’s a twin! These days, she’s helping crack algebraic equations and reading her kids’ persuasive letters to bring home a pet hamster, while negotiating multi-million dollar deals with top global networks via Zoom. All in a day’s work.
