Host and New York Liberty beat reporter Jackie Powell is joined by The Next’s Minnesota Lynx beat reporter Terry Horstman to preview and breakdown the matchup that the WNBA world has been waiting for: the first of four rematches of the 2024 WNBA Finals between the New York Liberty and Minnesota Lynx. It’s finally here! Jackie and Terry discuss what the two teams have been up to since that dramatic 5 game finals, including talking about how both rosters have changed and how the first half of the season went for both teams. Later Terry takes listeners inside what Lynx practice was like the day before this matchup along with explaining why Lynx head coach and POBO Cheryl Reeve signed Yvonne Anderson, which spurs Jackie to question what the Lynx are going to do before the trade deadline on August 7. With the Liberty missing three key players in Breanna Stewart, Kennedy Burke and Nyara Sabally for Wednesday night’s game, it’s going to be an uphill battle for the defending champions.
