Sometimes you never think of how your actions will affect others until after the fact. That's the case with me not recording on Monday. It wasn't a holiday in the true sense of the word. Sunday was the holiday, and I don't record on Sunday, so I took advantage and enjoyed the day, but it did make me think. Listen in for my thoughts. 

A breather day, as I call it. Or you could call it a break in the habit. Whatever you want to call it, it's needed when you're in a funk or your thinking is lacking clarity and imagination. I get in those moods every so often, like yesterday. So I took a breather day, and it worked. Listen in for more.

No matter what day your humpday falls on, it can cause anxiety in your quest to get thru all of work and get to the weekend of bliss. But getting there is and can be a pain in the butt. THere is no easy way to do it. It's better to accept, make changes, and adapt as best as you can. It will work out in the end.

Over the weekend, my mind was on an idea about teaching the fundamentals of ADHD. In some ways, this podcast is a lesson in itself of the fundamentals I've come to know and use over the years. I don't teach per se on the podcast, but I do talk a lot about what I do. Would a more structured class on fundamentals be worthwhile, or should I keep doing what I do now? Let us know. I hear people all the time calling their work garbage. Whether it's a podcast or a blog, people out there believe that their creative efforts are garbage. There is nothing further from the truth. Believe me because a long time ago, I felt the same way. Even now, there are days when I feel I published garbage, either here on the podcast or on News Break, where I write local stories. Then I recall my father's words. Listen in for more.

Success comes easy for some and hard for others, but I know that everyone who does become successful does the same thing. They work hard. Nothing is easy. It isn't as easy as hearing, "do these 4 things in the morning before 6 am like Richard Branson, and you'll be successful also." It doesn't work that way, and even he'll tell you that. I don't particularly like missing a day. It drives me nuts and causes anxiety later in the day, but granddaughters needing their Papa always comes first, and that was what happened yesterday. That little emergency, though, gave me the thoughts to talk about today. I hope you enjoy the podcast? 

A reader of our newsletter California Mishegoss mentioned in an email he was an ultramarathoner. That to me is the ultimate of getting clarity. I know for me back when I was younger skating was the key to clarity. Not just regular ice skating either. IT would have to be speed skating or hockey skating/practice. That gave me clarity. Swimming in the ocean worked pretty well also. I had all of that living back east. In Fresno, I use mental and emotional stuff for clarity. How about you? 

I remember the day I went to the Doctor's to be checked out like it was yesterday. He didn't say much to me only asked me a ton of questions and talked to my parents behind closed doors. The doors opened and my Dad came out and said come in here. My Dad told the Doctor to tell me what he just told them. The Doctor kind of hesitated, but then said I had Hyperkinetic Impulse Disorder. What the heck did I know, I was 6. Listen in for the rest of the story.

I don't know about you, but Monday mornings can be more stressful than any other morning, but for some reason, my ADHD keeps me thinking and moving on a Monday morning and totally out of the blue. It's about my brain and how it works throughout the night and early morning. How about you?
