  • Counting to 10 with ADHD

I know you've been told by someone in your life one time or another to count to 10 and then speak. I know I have, and I can never make it to 10. I might reach 5 or so, but that' about it. I can't concentrate on one thing for the count to 10. I can't calm down when counting to 10 because while counting, I'm thinking of a dozen other things that are upsetting me either to do with the issue or another issue going on. Sayings have a weird effect on people with ADHD. How about you?

  • Friday Ramblings About Fridays

TGIF, traditionally on a Friday, can now be celebrated on a Tuesday, Thursday, or any day that is scheduled as your Friday. A change that has happened over the years. I don't know when it happened, but it did, and over time we've adapted. Some are better at it than others. I remember the old days when a Friday was a Friday and a Sunday was a Sunday. Now the only thing that still keeps Sunday a Sunday in some sense is church and football. Amazing. Have you adapted to all of these changes?

  • When it Comes to Speaking and Presentations

Is there a difference between speaking to an audience rather than speaking with an audience? You bet there is and it does make a difference at the end of the day. Speaking to an audience is great in building your reputation as an expert in a field. It also places you on top as the expert in the room so to speak on whatever topic you're speaking about. But speaking to an audience instead of speaking with an audience can turn on you. Don't you want the audience to like you? Don't you want them to listen and learn? Making them part of your speech or presentation is so important and it's the easiest and heartwarming thing to do.

  • My Final Thought on Quitting

Quitting is part of life and business. It doesn't matter that we quit as long as we know inside it was the right decision at the right time. YOu may regret quitting over time, but when you did quit, it was right, and you need to remember that. As long as you decide for the right reasons that affect you and others, there is nothing to regret; move forward.

  • Don't Do It! Don't You Dare Do It!

The other day I did the entire podcast about quitting and why you shouldn't. Then a day later, I was on the verge of calling it quits for several things I'm working on, including this podcast. There are days when quitting is the easiest way out. It can relieve your depression, if only for a minute or two, because after you quit and think it's all going to be okay, you think about what you just did and decide to bring it back. I've been there too many times to count. HIt me up with your thoughts at Mark & Patti!

  • Quitting!

Quitting is easy. It's fast. It's life-changing, and it's doable. However, what you have to consider is, is it the right time and reason to quit? Those two questions should be first to consider. Time and Reason! If you've done everything you can to make an idea successful in the time you've allotted been given, and it isn't, then that answers time. It's the reason you come up with for quitting that makes the final decision in my book. Time is just that time. The reason is more about self and interest. Listen in for more.

  • Oh No!!! Crises Mode Part 2

Not everyone is perfect, and I am so far from perfect I can't even begin to explain that. I can talk a good game, but I'm probably one of the best when it comes to goofing up. I can't believe I forgot to upload two, not one, but two podcasts. I fixed that, and now you have some catching up to do, so get listening and let me know stuff. Write to us at Mark & Patti.

  • A Friday the 13th Special Episode

I needed the break. I needed the opportunity not to think of one creative thing. Being at home all the time is kind of like being at work 24 hours a day, seven days a week for an entire year or more. There is no end any longer. But, taking a day or two or more if possible is the best thing possible, especially if you let everything go. Don't feel guilty; just let go and live.

  • Friday Frustrations

Today is full of anticipation and frustrations. It isn't always this way on a Friday, but it is when we're planning to go away for a day or two. Whether we're leaving on a Sunday or any day a couple of days before shipping out gives me anxiety. It could be about work or the dogs. Maybe it's about bills that I know need to be paid before going to bills that will come in when we return home. Whatever it may be, it's frustrating.
