Christine Simmonds-Moore, PhD, is on the faculty of the psychology department at the University of West Georgia. She has been active in the field of parapsychology for many years. She is coauthor of Anomalistic Psychology. She is also editor of the book, Exceptional Experience and Health: Essays on Mind, Body and Human Potential.

Here she presents a number of psychological parameters that correlate positively with both laboratory studies and subjective reports of paranormal and psi experiences. She describes several varieties of synesthesia and explains how this is potentially related to psi. She discusses schizotypy, a collection of personality traits, that are sometimes viewed as pathological and sometimes viewed positively as fostering creativity. She also discusses transliminality and temporal lobe lability.

New Thinking Allowed host, Jeffrey Mishlove, PhD, is author of The Roots of Consciousness, Psi Development Systems, and The PK Man. Between 1986 and 2002 he hosted and co-produced the original Thinking Allowed public television series. He is the recipient of the only doctoral diploma in “parapsychology” ever awarded by an accredited university (University of California, Berkeley, 1980).
