“The world breaks everyone and afterward many are strong at the broken places." - Ernest Hemingway
Today I got to sit down and talk with a childhood hero of mine, and one of the biggest names in the history of whitewater kayaking, Scott Lindgren. Scott has completed some of the biggest expeditions in the sport of kayaking including one of the most widely known, the Yarlung Tsangpo expedition in Tibet. Scott has also filmed and produce many of the biggest films within the sport of whitewater kayaking, like 'Good to the last Drop', 'Burning Time', and 'Black Book' to name a few. Though Scott is usually behind the lens while filming, he has recently been in front of the camera with filming the documentary of his life with Rush Sturges for the Netflix documentary, The River Runner. Scott shares his incredible story, including his vulnerabilities with dealing with his brain tumor and succumbing to the fact that somethings in life you simply can not control. This truly is an inspiring story and conversation as Scott shares some magnificent history in the sport of kayaking, along with so much more life lessons.
