Just because it is on sale, doesn't make it a deal, and on the flip fide of things just because something it expensive doesn't necessarily make it more valuable. When you are looking for a deal it is not always about the price it's about the value you get. Maybe a deal is spending $30 on a book that gives you 30 years of experience, or listing to a podcast for an hour and getting invaluable ideas from it. Just remember it's not what you pay, it's what you get.

Today's Friday fire is all about being the Practitioner Instead of the Theorist. It is great to learn theory, though theory is useless without action. So make sure you try to learn, though down get caught up in analysis paralysis and instead take some action. Beware of the thought that I just need to read one more book, or course or video or podcast. Take action even if its just little baby steps. Small steps forward are still steps forward.

Today I got to sit down and talk with the event lead organizer for the upcoming GoPro Mountain Games. Dave explains all that goes into hosting a premier event on this large scale. We also dive deep into the hard decisions that were made to postpone and pivot during the COVID pandemic as well as make the decision early on to try and make it happen to reopen in 2021. This conversation gives a great insight into what all goes into hosting events on a large scale from the organization, management, brand partnership and those tough decisions that need to be made. I sure am stoked to be heading to Vail this week and I hope to be able to see some of you there.

This Thermostat in our mind works with everything in life, whether it be finance, relationships or our health and weight. We will always stay in the range that we have set in our mind. It might change a couple degrees higher or lower, though our range will always stay the same, that is anyways until we decide to change our settings on our Thermostat in the mind. If you want to see change you MUST set a new state and range in the mind before you will see the results in your life.

The Flow State is a subject that I find incredible powerful and intriguing and it was an amazing conversation diving deep into the inner mind and how it works when under pressure and in peak performance.
