In this episode, Brittany discusses the second trimester of pregnancy with you and covers everything from how she is feeling, anxiety, movement, food, body image, and more. She also delves into the power of positive "just wait" responses versus the negative ones we hear day after day.
"Just wait until, after trying and trying, you turn over that pregnancy test and it says "pregnant." Just wait until the moment you can share that you are having a baby with your partner. Just wait until you hear your baby's heartbeat for the first time — that is your baby in there. Or when you feel your very first flutter, reminding you of how magical this moment is. Or when you're having a rough day and your baby gives you a little kick to let you know, "Hey, I'm here." Or when you watch your baby grow week after week and continue to develop — a miracle. Or when you look in the mirror and notice, for the first time, not only is my baby growing, but I am too. And I know as I go about my days at the grocery store, at the post office, or out to dinner, I will hear “just wait” as if I should be anticipating something negative, but I will choose to believe that there is so much beauty in the hope and the waiting. I will wait in absolute gratitude for the moment we get to meet our baby girl. For that first cry. For that first embrace. For my husband to carry her out of the hospital to the home we have created for her. For her to become my entire world. I am waiting. I am growing, creating, and healing. I am a safe space. I am a home. I am a mother."
