With summer holidays fast approaching, this week I want to talk about something a lot of us say we’re going to do… but secretly struggle with:
Switching off on holiday.
Not just closing the laptop. Not just putting on your out-of-office.I mean really switching off - mentally, emotionally, digitally.
And let’s be honest - most of us know by now that this is way harder than it sounds. Our phones are always within reach. The to-do list is still buzzing in our heads. And even when we look like we’re relaxing - lying by the pool with a book by our side - we’re often still semi-plugged in.
Half-checking emails. Half-thinking about work. Half-scrolling, half-resting.
And when that happens, we don’t get the real benefits of switching off. We don’t drop down into that deeper place where the magic happens - where we truly rest, reset, and reconnect with ourselves.
And so that is what this Pep-Talk is all about.
In this episode, I’m diving into:
* Why switching off feels so weirdly uncomfortable at first
