  • Episode 544 – I Almost Died… And How Social Media Helped Me Make It Better!

Yup you read that right. Out of nowhere... I got sick but had no idea how really sick I was. One of my neighbors saw me being loaded into an ambulance, and posted it to a neighborhood Facebook Group.
I was embarrassed, worried about my business brand. What if people saw me as weak, what if clients panicked and started to leave, what would happen to my life? I did my best to keep my business brand flowing, while avoiding posting about my personal situation.
This episode thought me three things.

    * My personal and business brands are more intertwined than I have ever thought.
    * Social media is not all bad, and divisive
    * You reap what you sow and people remember your true character!

In this episode I will share a very personal journey about my trip to the ER, ICU, and REDEMPTION! I hope you find this powerful, eye opening and a positive experience that can help you in life and in business.

  • Episode 538 – The Details Is In The Data – How To Better Collect And Use Info From Your Website

Nothing warms my cockles like a good batch of data. Especially when it comes to helping me to better connect with clients and potential customers. Data is everywhere nowadays, but capturing it, harnessing it and using for the good of your business is a challenge.
Our websites are the best place to collect and measure data since we own it and can control what we see and how we process it. Social media may give you some analytics, but it's not as accurate as you think (the tend to slant it to get you to buy more advertising).
The three thinks you can do with user data collected on your website....

    * The Form Capture Best Practices
    * Integrating Into Email Marketing
    * Getting Data Into Your CRM

In this episode, I will cover some ideas about you can capture data, use it to benefit your B2b business and why it should be part of your overall Marketing Plan.

  • Episode 536 – Questions? Why Good Answers Lead To Better Questions?

I get quite a few (at least one per day) direct messages on LinkedIn or Facebook. They range for what's the meaning of life (just kidding) to very detailed business questions that generally can easily be answered in a text.
I never want to be rude or dismissive, and I do my best to answer... but not too much! I also get asked to lunch a lot as well. "Hey can I buy you a Burrito so I can pick your Brian brain so I don't have to pay you a $1000 to compete with you?"
The three most common questions i get go something like this....

    * What should I charge others to do what you do?
    * How can I get more traffic to my website for free?
    * Do you know someone (implied cheaper than you) who can fix my India or Philippines made website? They don't communicate fast enough!

In this episode,  I will explain that each of those really has a different question being asked, and how you can answer but leave them wanting more. Prompting them to ask more questions that can lead to new business.
