Loss is traumatic - that much the world understands. But there is so much still undiscussed about loss. Because it’s uncomfortable.
But here’s the deal. It’s part of the healing process. It needs to be talked about it so more people start to understand.
On today’s episode of The Be Ruthless Show, I discuss secondary losses- the losses experienced after the initial loss. I have more people registered for Relief From Grief than ever before, and one of the themes I’m noticing is that most are struggling with secondary losses.

On today’s episode of The Be Ruthless Show, I discuss why Mental Health Awareness Month matters. I discuss ways you can show your support.
You never know who is dealing a mental health issue… unless they choose to tell you. In this judgmental world, the stigma stops so many from getting the help they deserve.
Raising awareness can change that! Tune in to listen: samantharuth.com/podcast
Joining me on todays episode of The Be Ruthless Show is Jenna Parkany. Jenna is a young, female entrepreneur who knows the significance and power of resilience. After losing her older brother tragically in a house fire in 2017, she learned quickly how impactful that experience would be on the trajectory of her life. A sophomore in college at the time, Jenna was determined to find the greater purpose for the pain she was experiencing and realized her dreams were very much worth chasing. After college, Jenna moved from the midwest to Central Florida and landed her dream job. When that job ended due to the pandemic, she was left with no choice but to be resilient again. Two years later, Jenna owns her own digital marketing company, where she helps business owners share their unique experiences and stories with the world.
Jenna and I discuss the healing process, including the importance of letting new people into your life and being your true self rather than hiding your grief.
