On this episode of Latinos Out Loud, #RachelLaLoca chats with the Writer and Director of the play, "The Beautiful Land I Seek", Matthew Barbot and José Zayas. The play follows two Puerto Rican revolutionaries in 1950 making their way to DC via train with a plan to strike in the name of Puerto Rican independence. But as their journey unfolds, cultural and historical figures continually barge into their compartment, causing them to question their plan and contemplate what type of legacy they’d like to leave.
Presented by Pregones/Puerto Rican Traveling Theater (PRTT), Latinx Playwrights Circle, and Fault Line Theatre, the beautiful land I seek began performances December 4 for a run through 12/29 at PRTT.
