Brentford needed three points against Wolves. It was a hard fought game in which both sides could have taken the points.
But the game ran out as a stalemate with cloth sides missing gilt-edged chances.

Brentford came away from enemy territory with an impressive 4-1 League Cup victory over Queens Park Rangers thanks mainly to a devastating first half performance in which the Bees gave Rangers a footballing lesson. After going in 3-1 up at the break (OG, Egan, Maupay) Brentford allowed Rangers to come back into it during the second period, however, the Bees notched another goal (Clarke) to give the final score line a well deserved feel. Who do you want in the Third Round?

Brentford scored three. But let in four goals at Griffin Park. Two games. No points. Not exactly the start to the season they were expecting.
After going one up and being in command, the Bees allowed forest to go 2-1 up at half time. It was all downhill from then.
We spoke to Bees fans, Forest fans and Football on 5's Colin Murray in the pub after the match.
