The Berean Call Podcast

Tom: Today and, the Lord willing, next week, I’ll be interviewing a man I will simply address as “Joe.” Joe, as you’ll learn, is not his actual name but rather a name chosen for security purposes. The reason for that is Joe is a missionary, and the places where the Lord has had him minister – and is having him minister today – well, they’re terribly hostile to the gospel. Therefore, the last thing I want to do is to put Joe and his family in harm’s way...

Upon leaving the lab, Ken instinctively drove toward the coastal hills. So many times he had gone there in the past to wander the woods and think tough problems through to a solution. This time, however, when he found himself on the winding mountain road that he knew so well, and facing the late-afternoon sun that was about to sink into the Pacific just beyond the range he was climbing, he could not remember how he'd gotten there...

One of the most common expressions one hears in Christian circles, especially for reassurance when things aren't going well, is that "God is in control, He's still on the throne." Christians comfort themselves with these words – but what do they mean?

My conversation today and last week was with Elijah Abraham, and we’re excited to have him back. As I mentioned at the end of last week, total blessing. Folks, you’ve got to take this recording and get it to your pastor, get it out there. I mean, it’s so important and so timely, especially considering the day that we’re in.
