Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
—Matthew 7:13-14
As we pointed out in Part One, those who have chosen to enter through the "strait gate" are those who are born again, which can only take place by putting their faith in Jesus Christ, who paid the full penalty for their sin. Furthermore, "strait is the gate, and narrow is the [only] way which leads unto life." That life, of course, is eternal life.
Yeah, Tom, that’s one of things, I guess, that makes Judgment Day different from most of the books out there. You have books that either deal with prophecy and don’t really get into what’s happening, or you have other books, excellent books, that tell you about the terrorism in Islam, and so forth, but they have no correlation with prophecy, and we start this book out pointing to prophecy. These are God’s people. Two hundred and three times in the Bible He calls Himself the God of Israel, and the Bible lays out, as you said—it’s history written in advance—it lays out exactly what is going to happen to the Jewish people and what is happening in the Middle East. So we are continually referring to prophecy, and that’s really the foundation, because God is in charge. He tells us what’s going to happen. So we better follow that, and that is one of the major problems that I point out in the book: the nations of the world are defying the God of Israel. He has said what He is going to do with this land. He has made promises to these people, and the world is defying Him and taking that land away.

Last week we were discussing, as we have been for a number of weeks, Dave Hunt’s latest book Judgment Day! Islam, Israel, and the Nations. And, Dave, we were in chapter 10. I thought we’d get through it, but we left a few items out that I think are worth going back to. You have a heading titled “Islam’s Legacy of Death and Western Blindness.” Now, also last week, we gave some quotes—for some of our listeners, just to remind them, we quoted from former President Jimmy Carter, trying to find a verse in the Qur’an that had to do with peace. And he found one, but it really had nothing to do with peace, it had to do with the spoils of war.

In a couple sentences, the book lays out this proposition: Israel is the number one topic of the Bible. The Bible says more about Israel than about anything else, even the Messiah. It makes prophecies about Israel. God makes promises to Israel. The world is defying Him, so we suggest that if what the Bible says about Israel is not true, then every synagogue and every Christian church ought to shut its doors and admit that this is a fraud. If what the Bible says is true, the leaders of this world, the political leaders, religious leaders better shape up to what God says, or they are heading for heavy judgment, and that’s where the title of this book comes from: Judgment Day. And God says—we point this out at the very beginning—God says in Joel 3:2: “I am going to punish all the nations of this world for two things: they have scattered my people everywhere…” This is anti-Semitism, been going on for centuries. But then God says, “…and they have divided my land.” And that has never happened until our generation. I say “my generation,” within my time.

We’re currently in chapter 8, which is titled “Facing Hard Facts.”Dave, you mentioned the late Yasser Arafat, who is perhaps the most unique character on the stage of modern history, and not because of what he did as much as how the world has honored him. How does so obvious an evil man, a mass murderer of innocent women and children, how does a person like that receive the Nobel Peace Prize?

ACTS 11:25-26 Then departed Barnabas to Tarsus, for to seek Saul: And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.
ACTS 14:21-22 And when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had taught many, they returned again to Lystra, and to Iconium, and Antioch, Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.
ACTS 15:35-36 Paul also and Barnabas continued in Antioch, teaching and preaching the word of the Lord, with many others also. And some days after Paul said unto Barnabas, Let us go again and visit our brethren in every city where we have preached the word of the Lord, and see how they do.
ACTS 18:11 And he [Paul] continued there [Corinth] a year and six months, teaching the word of God among them.
ACTS 18:25-26 This man was instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in the spirit, he spake and taught diligently the things of the Lord, knowing only the baptism of John. And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly.
ACTS 20:20-21 And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have showed you, and have taught you publicly, and from house to house, Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.
ACTS 28:18-20 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Last week in this segment of Search the Scriptures Daily, we were discussing chapter 8 of Dave Hunt’s new book Judgment Day! Islam, Israel, and the Nations, and chapter 8 is titled “Facing Hard Facts.” But, Dave, it seems that very few people today care to face hard facts, and before we get to an astonishing example right there in chapter 8 of your book, let’s talk about what is at the time we are taping this program an international event which we might title “Paris is Burning.” Yet it has so far, as far as I could tell, received only passing attention from the world’s press, and at that, there is no mention—I have an article right here in front of me—there is no mention that it has some religious significance. And for example, Dave, this is our copy of The Bend Bulletin, you know, an article that began on the first page, front page, and goes to second page, and throughout the article, I’m finding riots in the suburbs of France—Paris, that is…

In chapter 8, titled “Facing Hard Facts,” you quote Article 18 of the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which reads: “Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion; this right includes freedom to change his religion or belief, and freedom, either alone or in community with others and in public or private, to manifest his religion or belief in teaching, practice, worship and observance.” Amazingly, this was approved by a number of Muslim countries, including Saudi Arabia; yet in practice, regarding Saudi Arabia in particular, this is a fraud. How do you explain the world’s acceptance of this?

In this segment of Search the Scriptures Daily, we’re going through Dave Hunt’s new book Judgment Day! Islam, Israel, and the Nations. Last week we were midway through chapter 7 titled, “Hatred’s Peace.” And as we noted, contrary to the propaganda from representatives of Islam and swallowed and presented by news media, Islam is not and never was a religion of peace. Furthermore, the peace Muslims are seeking involves the annihilation of Israel and bringing the world into submission to Islam and Allah.
