Hi friends! I'm so excited for today's episode, as I welcome Diana Forsell from Healing Birth Podcast to share her two birth stories and some nuggets of wisdom in the realm of healing birth trauma. Diana planned a homebirth for her first son's birth, but things did not go the way they were planned and Diana ended up having an unwanted c-section. Needless to say, she was traumatized from that experience and knew she needed healing before having her second child. She spent her wild pregnancy on her land in Peru, trusting her baby and her body. Laura's birth story is a testament to how wide the spectrum of normal really is. Hi friends! Today I welcome Raina on the podcast. She shares with us her two birth stories - her first birth being at a birth center, which was not quite what she was expecting, so when she got pregnant again, she knew she had to plan something different. She wanted a birth where she was the authority in her space. She wanted to take her power back from her first birth experience, so that's exactly what she did. She went on to have a beautiful, sovereign birth at home with her husband, son, and birth keeper. Raina is a powerful example of what I talk about so often in the birth space - it's never too late to take your power back and birth on your terms!

Hi friends! Today we have my friend, Kurston Clark aka @benevolent.birth, on the podcast. We have a very candid conversation about the importance of taking full responsibility of your pregnancy and birth, the illusion of safety, and how to mindfully choose your birth support if you desire it. So often, women outsource for their birth because that’s what society tells you you “have to do” and it seems to be the safest option to most people; however this is simply an illusion because even the most experienced care provider cannot ultimately control the outcome of your birth. Not only that, but oftentimes the people we invite into our birth space end up interfering in a way that disturbs birth. Choosing who steps into your birth space is so important. Being the Authority in Your Birth ~ Audrey's Three Birth Stories ~ 1 Breech in Hospital, 1 Precipitous Homebirth w/ a Midwife, & 1 Freebirth

Hi friends! Today we are graced by Audrey Ross from @ajoyfulbirth and her three incredible birth stories. I absolutely loved hearing her tell these stories because even though her first two birth were technically "in the system", Audrey embodied her power and trust in birth throughout these experiences. Her first, born breech in a hospital, then choosing a midwife assisted homebirth for her second, and with her third pregnancy realizing that she can do this all on her own without a provider.

Hi friends! Today I am joined by Dr. Rebecca Cohen, @fullcircleholistic, as she shares her 5 birth stories, her journey supporting women as an OB to a more aligned independent home birth approach, and healing her postpartum pelvic floor.

I first began following Rebecca after hearing her full story on the Free Birth Society Podcast and my mind was kinda blown. Then, I recently stumbled upon a beautiful, undisturbed birth (@humblymarij -episode 10 if you'd like to listen to the birth story) to which Rebecca was her birth attendant! I knew I had to invite her on!

I'm so impressed by Rebecca's journey because she's a real testament to what it can look like leaving the medical system and trusting your body, while living in your authority and authenticity.
