This week, Lee & Darren fight fatigue to bring you stories about Brian Blessed: Cosmonaut, Transformers reboot, Whitney Huston, Space 1999 reboot, the SFX weekender and Anthony Daniels wince inducing appearance at last weeks Phantom Menace screening. And after another fine Profanasaurus entry (fnar!) by Jim Moon, the guys delve into the murky re-review of Star Wars Episode 2: Attack of the Clones.

This week is a short episode as Lee & Darren enter the cinema for another round of fanboy wife beating as they sit through Star Wars Episode 1 The Phantom Menace 3D will the third dimension add anything? Will it be a gimmick? Will Darren get over seeing Kate Garraway at the screening? Will Lee stay awake? Is there ever a point where you can wear a Jar Jar hat and expect to live? All these questions and more will be answered in the pub after the screening where the guys are joined by Laura Fox and the star wars clueless neophyte and Dr Who fanboy Billy Shearer.

This week Lee & Darren take on the mighty Predator in Rose Tinted Specs, but not before teaching you how to swear in Afrikkans with Tiann Ross and then launching a brand new reoccurring spot, the Jim Moon Profanasaurus. Add to this news about the Avengers, Spiderman and a toe curling Mel Smith moment of the week from Lee himself.

This week sees Lee & Darren cast an eye over the oscar nominations, discuss silly hats and the possibility of jenny Agutter letting slip some pretty big Avengers spoilers. After which we see the welcome return of The Mel Smith Moment of the Week and the first of our two part mini series “Swearing in Afrikaans with Tiann Ross” Then finally, with a flourish and armadillos in their pants, the guys don their glam rock clothes and tackle the mighty comedy classic, This is Spinal Tap will it hold up to scrutiny or will it be a 18 inch high Stonehenge?

Lee & Darren and their new timer app, barrel through tales of Sherlock Holmes, Attack the Block, Prometheus News and George Lucas crying foul about people changing his films Boo bloody hoo… After that the guys dive in on one of the most contentious and least popular Shit Covered Goggles in recent memory Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull which is accompanied by a lot of feedback and death threat

In this weeks monster lengthed 3hr show, we take a look back over our favourite and despised films of 2011 and along the way we also catch up with Darrens christmas shenanigans and Lee’s battle with the flora and fauna of Australia.

In, what has become the longest episode in Black Dog history, Lee & Darren discuss The Thing remake, The black dog shindig, The Dark Knight photographs and hangovers at christenings… After this they get to the meat of the cast, the epic battle between good and those who like The Fifth Element. Who will win, who will lose and who will pick Darren’s remains off the curb?

So we come to the last episode for 2011 as Lee and Darren once again go epic and discuss silver papered walls, new shoes, perfect pizza delivery, Peter Weller, Prometheus spoilers, Dark Knight Prologues and remaking the Wrath of Khan. Then after all that they dive headlong into the review of Steven Spielbergs Close Encounters of the Third Kind, will they love it, will they hate it? Will blood and tears be spilt?

This week Lee & Darren are joined by long time nemesis, Paul WS Anderson fan and writer Russ Whitfield, as the journey straight to hell to review Event Horizon. Along the way the guys also discuss pies, Swedish rock chicks, pedicure fish, The Immortals, Batmans’ Hiatus and the possible return of the Tribbles to Nu-Trek

In this weeks EPIC LENGTH episode our hosts discuss, losing graciously at awards ceremonies, night bus drivers lust for power, a preview screening of Another Earth, Dr Who the movie and of course the wonderful casting news for the Akira remake.
