This week Lee & Darren return to their roots by huddling around a single barely functioning microphone, telling tales of Superhero entertainment viewed this week, while also pouring over a tsunami of geek news. Then for Rose Tinted Specs, they pair turn their attention to the seminal 50s sci-fi classic The Forbidden Planet, will it still hold up as a deeply influential movie or with our modern perspective will it all seem a little….well… dated?

This week sees the end of the 4 weeks of horror season as Lee & Darren are joined by Rob Spry, Laura Fox and waaaaay off in the distance Jen Williams and Marty Perrett in the zombie infested area of Bristol, reviewing Zack Snyders Dawn of the Dead. Also the cast sees the last of the Shitty Superheroes for this year with a distrubing and frankly unbelievble superhero, who managed to outrage the Daily Mail.

In this epic length episode beset by technical mishaps and a very late night start, Lee & Darren discuss many diverse subjects such as IT minions, creepy hotels in Amsterdam, overly curious dutch kids, muffins and upsetting geek news about the live action Akira remake and a Punisher TV series. After which they stomp into the woods to review the third movie in the four weeks of horror, Sam Raimis The Evil Dead.

In this weeks unscheduled episode, Lee & Darren are joined by film journalist Danny Graydon and James King as they all brave the perils of British transport system at 8am on a Sunday morning to watch and review Steven Spielbergs latest movie Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn. Expect a random assortment of clips as this cast was recorded on Lee’s phone at various places around London…. In this epic lengthed episode the guys are joined by the mighty Jim Moon of Hypnobobs podcast as they mull over such subjects as Ryan Reynolds wobbly head, transformers testicles and why would a window cleaner want to become a superhero… After that the guys plunge head long in to the end of the world with Vincent Price in a deserted Rome, in the second film in the 4 Weeks of Horror The Last Man on Earth

In a change from our usual schedule, Michael Parkinson, presents a special edition of his Mystery Train focusing on the disappearance of Lee and Darren in the west country woods as they recorded the latest episode of The Black Dog focusing on The Blair Witch Project The footage you are about to hear is an unexpurgated version of the mp3 recordings that were later found in the forest outside Hampton Fancher in South West England

This week Lee & Darren are joined by Dave Probert as they polish their shiny helmets, letch over Jennifer Connelly and set their arses on fire with a very hot jet pack, reviewing The Rocketeer Also on the show Shitty Superheroes returns with a Cliff Richard inspired superhero, the guys also discuss the demise of Dr Who confidential, how to get a cat with a camel toe and the up and coming Black Dog Shindig.
