Today’s guest, Dr. Aaron Kheriaty, MD, is a physician specializing in psychiatry and author of 5 books. He’s also had significant roles in medical ethics and public policy. 

In today’s episode, Rita and Dr. Kheriaty examine some of the current problems with contemporary medicine - including how it relates to free speech, being allowed to challenge people and institutions, MAID (or Euthanasia), and the abandonment of the Hippocratic Oath - and how we might begin to start fixing it. 

They also, unexpectedly, discuss Covid. For better or worse, Covid is an easy and recent example of how acknowledging issues within the system, asking questions, and having these conversations is often frowned upon - if not completely discouraged and censored. It was also an example of why it is absolutely vital, especially in a day and age when the moral separation in society and lack of a common foundation seems to be growing, to have conversations just like this.
