Dr. Abbey's journey into health care started when world-renowned Dr. Frederick Carrick helped a close family friend dramatically regain her life. Dr. Abbey saw hope restored and dedicated her course in life to helping those who have lost hope in managing their chronic condition. She also received her Brain Health Professional certification from Amen University, taught by Dr. Daniel Amen, one of America's leading psychiatrists and brain health experts. She learned to understand the management of mood and behavioral disorders, as well as, a deeper understanding between the balance of the mind and the brain. She feels that the more a person understands their condition, the more empowered they become.
